HART 40-Volt Cordless Attachment Capable 15-inch String Trimmer Kit, (1) 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery

This trimmer is amazing. I have one of the Hart 20V trimmers and it seems anemic compared to the 40V. The only trimmer that I can compare it to, is the Craftsman propane powered Model %23 104.792120. the 104 was about 25 pounds. This trimmer only weighs 11.2 pounds, but id cuts as well as the 104. I have them side by side in the photo.

This thing has some P-O-W-E-R!! We have right under 2 acres and we were able to trim around the house and culvert with NO issues. The battery lasts about 30-45 minutes which is more than enough time for most yards. I can’t say that we missed a beat with it being battery. I thought it would be less powerful and I was so glad to be wrong. I included a pic of the culvert before and after. Not bad.

I am so impressed with the power this cordless string trimmer has. The size of the battery shocked and impressed me at the same time. I was worried the weight of the trimmer would be too heavy or top heavy, but it was not. The string trimmer actually had a very pleasant balance to it. I have a half acre of land, and this string trimmer handled a lot of work on just one charge. It cut and trimmed whatever I needed it to cut or trim, and it was fantastic not having to worry about a power cord. Overall, I am very happy with this product and I definitely recommend it!

Great trimmer! I was actually quite surprised by the quality and power of this trimmer. It has just as much power (if not more) than a gas powered trimmer. But I especially love the little maintenance. No mixing gasoline. No checking oil. No priming, playing with chokes, or tugging on pull strings. So far (time will tell), it is of good quality. Where gripping is needed, the material facilitates traction so that it doesn't slip. Even if your hand gets a little sweaty. It comes with the ability to add other attachments besides the trimmer. It's super easy to switch attachments (see pic). I also love this feature because it makes it much easier to store than a traditional trimmer (see pic). My only negative is the positioning isn't quite natural. You can't quite stand/walk naturally to trim the grass parallel to the ground. You have to hold your arms and back a little different. Bottom line: I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.

My husband has gone through many different trimmers and what sets this one apart is how powerful it is! It rips through the weeds, bushes, and heavier areas like a breeze and its very easy to use. The battery also seems to last longer so he can get the entire yard done. Would definitely recommend if you need a heavy duty trimmer.

The HART 40-Volt Cordless 15-inch String Trimmer is a great trimmer. For a battery operated trimmer this sure has a lot of power. It's right up there with the power that my gas trimmers have. It's one of the most powerful battery operated trimmers I've ever used. It's the beginning of winter here so there isn't a lot of weed eating to do but I do have some short but tough evergreen looking bushes that I needed to cut out. I used this trimmer on them and it cut them out like they were butter. I also edged around our little pet cemetery in the backyard and it cleaned out all the tall grass and weeds like a charm. It does a fantastic job. This is so easy to assemble and disassemble. And very easy to start and operate. It's a bit heavy once you put the attachment and battery both on but it was still lighter than my other trimmers. Just bump it on the ground to advance the string. The 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery holds a good strong charge that lasts a while. I'm anxious to try out all of the attachments that are available to use with this. The snow trimmer will be my first one to try. Hoping to purchase and try the cultivator attachment this coming spring.

After receiving this trimmer, I was able to assembly it with ease using the detailed instructions that come with it. It is a very powerful trimmer that cuts down weeds and long grass. I can clear a large area with ease. The greatest feature is that it's cordless and no gas is required. The Lithium-Ion battery and charger are included in this kit. It's light weight to use and I can move through an area with ease focusing on removing unwanted plant growth without having to worry about a cord getting tangled or needing to stop to fill the tank with gas. It has neither of those issues. Just turn it on and go! It makes the job much more pleasant to just walk behind the trimmer and start working. I like the features of this kit. It does have a place on the top of the trimmer to add a belt to use for more stability if need be. I found that the Trimmer is a light weight tool that works perfectly for me. The kit includes all necessary parts to get up to speed instantly. I am impressed that this power kit is attachment capable. I also have the snow blower attachment and plan to start using it once we get snow in my area. It's a good tool. I am recommending this product. The attachments come with a hanger so that it makes storage a breeze for you. Finally, we have a versatile power tool that will bring many years of use for a variety of chores around the yard.

My first thought when getting this weed trimmer was that there is no way this thing will be anywhere near the power of a gas trimmer. However, after using this thing for about 10 minutes... I was shocked at just how powerful it was. Absolutely just as powerful as a gas trimmer... with no big bulky gas tank and hot exhaust hanging out of the back either! I have to say that I was impressed with the construction, slender design, and balance it had. The 40 V battery hangs in the back and has some weight to it for sure, but no heavier than the gas. Something else that is awesome about thus trimmer..is that it’s also compatible with an old Ryobi trimmer attachment that I had kept. That was a great bonus for me! My one concern with this trimmer or any equipment that uses a lithium ion battery, is the quality, the maintenance that’s involved, and how long it will last over time. In my experience, some can be very finicky, and sometimes the charger itself...can slowly kill one of these types of batteries. Heat kills batteries, and on this application, the battery has a longer load time then other typical applications, such as a drill or saw. Only time will tell. In my opinion, I think this trimmer is perfect for me, or anyone who has a decent size yard with a few flowerbeds, and is tired of dealing with gas and oil mixtures.

I bought this July 1, 2022 and it didn’t even last 1yr. Using the weedeater attachment and the edger attachment it worked fine for most of the year. I added the tiller attachment and used it for 2 batteries worth of power and the shaft of the handle broke probably because of vibration. It’s not meant to have the tiller attachment.

Straight out of the box, 15 mins of use and it’s pouring smoke. 3rd one in a row to do the same thing. Keep sending them, I’ll keep using them and reviewing them. Would love to hear from Hart.
