Bought for my parents you replace an old trimmer, wanted an attachment ready one that accepted universal attachments and this fit the description. Very nice build quality, you could definitely tell this is basically a rebadged Ryobi which is good. Had plenty of power, no issues ripping through the grass and still plenty of battery power left when done. Add on you can throw on the edging attachment, blower, hedge trimmer, it the snow shovel in the winter it was a good buy . Would definitely recommend.

this is the weed trimmer you need. the speed is just like a gas mower. it has really good speed and power for thick grass. I used to own the lower model to this one and did not perform nearly as close to this one. you could literally mow the lawn with this one not just siding. the only down side is that the guard provides no protection, the grass hits you all the time.

Love this product. A little tough changing from wire to blades, but that's because it's new. Easy to change the wire when cover is on. No need to take off to replace wire which is nice.

Used only a couple of times, but, so far it has great power. Used in some pretty heavy growth and it preformed very good. No bogging down, was actually surprised by how well it works. I would definitely recommend this product.

This string trimmer is one of my favorite tools in the garage. It is so convenient and you don't have to deal with the hassle of gas. I have been using another string trimmer for years. At least that one was a 4 cycle and I did not have to mix the gas and oil. I have been looking into electric trimmers for the past year. I now have this in my garage, and will not be turning back to gas. To give a clear picture, I live in the city limits on about 1/3 of an acre. This trimmer does the job well. The trimmer itself is a little awkward with weight distribution, but it is apparent as to why. The top is where the 40V battery is! I like the fact that there are several attachments to go with this trimmer. The line that it comes with is decent, but I know that I will have to buy more soon. I really like the handle when holding the trimmer. It is a thick rubber material that is easy to hang on to. I did not really notice any vibration through the machine with the handle. But, while we are speaking of the handles, I think it would have been nice to have rubber around the handle in my left hand. The hard plastic is not comfortable. I like the fact that the safety does not have to be held the entire time. Just press it once while "giving it gas" and then let go once it starts up. The guard does a decent job of keeping grass off of you, but this is a trimmer, the job is still a little messy. I look forward to using this trimmer for years to come!

This weed trimmer is more powerful than a gas one in my opinion. It cuts very well and last longer than I want to use it. It needs two improvements that would make it even better. The inherent qualities of the brush-less motor are not quite suitable for variable speed use. There is a delay in the operation of the trigger while the circuitry decides what you want it to do. The other problem is the lack of a clutch that the electric drive does not need but would make it easier to use when trimming around things that can hang the string. In a gas powered trimmer if it gets caught on something the motor will slow down and the clutch will let the head stop turning without undue stress on the drive parts. With the electric direct drive if the string hangs it will bring the entire drive to a complete stop instantly. The delay in the speed reaction aggravates this property as it is difficult to control the drive speed and torque. I am sure this will eventually injure something in the power train. I realize that the electric drive does not need a clutch to operate but it would benefit the longevity of the drive unit as a whole. I would most likely think the brushed version would be a bit better to control the variable speed as they don't seem to have the same delay in operation of the trigger. Other than those two things I am impressed with the power and longevity of the trimmer.

Living in Fl, we have St Augustine super thick grass. This 40V trimmer has plenty of power to cut through the thick grass. I have .33 acre lot and the battery lasted through all of it. I had no problems advancing the line. I prefer pre wound string and I haven't been able to find this so I will have to wind my own. I haven't had the opportunity to do this yet so I deducted one star. Usually when I have to wind my own, there ends up being jams and that is why I prefer prewound string.

I love Hart products and would love to review their entire assortment of goods if I could. Most products I'd rate a 5 star. This came in and the spool under load released all the material. I didn't know that until after I had to find a battery that worked. This came in DOA and would not charge with the charger (error message). So once I got another battery I saw the spool issue. Had to take it back for a return. Got another and no charger in its box but it worked. On low speed I would say you get about 20-25 minutes of battery use. On high speed maybe 15 out of a battery. But it does the job and does it well. Wish it came with the shoulder strap and not just the mounts for one. Just another reason I feel like Hart and its parent company are cutting corners to save a buck when it really cheapens the overall vibe of what you are buying.

The string head was extremely hard to remove. I wanted to use the blade head but had a hard time removing the string head. After struggling for a while, I was finally able to remove it. But then, I wasn't able to put in the blade head. It should not be that difficult to remove and switch trimmer heads.

Product stopped working after the first week. Strange spells and smoke came out only used it for 30 to 40 minutes. Strange thing is I bought the second one two years ago that lasted three months same brand.
