The saw is pretty good for being an electric saw, definitely recommend having multiple batteries for more run time and at least two 6ah batteries so you don't wear out the smaller sized batteries. Starting out it cuts limbs and logs pretty easily just make sure you keep up with sharpening the chain or it will bog down the saw after heavy use. The lightweight of the saw with battery is great for the back and makes cutting up a lot of debris a breeze. Overall I really enjoy this saw and my Dad has even taken an interest with it, its currently at his place while he works on cleaning the woods up from a recent storm. The 18in blade does make cutting up large trunks doable just don't expect the battery to last long with these long cuts.
Power immediately when you press the trigger, easy to tighten chain on the bar especially with the convenient storage built into the lower handle for tool stowing. Plus you don't have to worry about hauling fuel which can spill out not to forget the extra expense. I will carry this saw in my truck more often so I can have it readily available when I need it.
I bout this to cut down a stump. Immediate impressions were that it looked like a very quality item and was packaged nicely in a reusable plastic carry case. Set up was super simple and using the chainsaw is very intuitive if you've ever used any sort of yard equipment before. It does not come with your bar and chain oil, so you will need to purchase separately and fill the reservoir before use. A bottle only runs about 5-6 dollars. Considering you just spent 250 dollars on a chainsaw, it would be nice if that was included. Nevertheless, this thing is beefy and has some heft to it. I believe it claims to be 12 pounds without the battery, so you don't want to be lugging this thing around all day. I am glad I went with the 18" blade over the easier to find 14 and 16 inch blades. I already have the 10" pruning saw version, and the length of this blade certainly screams that it can tackle much bigger jobs. The saw comes with an onboard tool to adjust the chain tension on the fly. Performance wise, it is not as powerful as I expected. It will make quick work of large branches, but cutting out a stump is a bit beyond the reach of it. It also burns through a 40v 4ah battery in no time, so you should have a few on hand if you plan on a longer work session. Or grab a 6ah. Even though it did not meet the purpose of my purchase, I'm happy with the product and will keep and use it for future projects.
