Worth the Money

anonymous June 22, 2026

It is serving the purpose it was purchased for as someone who's into grill and smoking meats, this cordless saw works very well for cutting logs and branches down to a manageable size. The batyery life leaves something to be desired but having multiple batteries remedies that to a degree its not an major hurdle. The saw has enough power to cut through anything you need to. It works very well on small to medium sized trees and shrubs. Larger trees and logs require multiple cuts from opposing angles or sides of the tree, or log. I already owned this brands 20in lawnmower, maybe it was 18, but having that product provides me with an interchangeable battery with more Amps and useage time because its a larger battery. This was definitely a great buy and catching it on sell gave it a littel extra value.

Hey Even Grandpa Can Handle This Saw!

Alberta May 21, 2026

My died in the wool gas powered elderly saw user hubby loves this saw! ( even tho he insisted he did not want a battery one). Because he could no longer pull the cord to start his saw I sent for this one. It has power to cut through large trees and is easy for him to handle in spite of the longer blade. It does not take a long time to recharge and the battery has a good life. It is a good investment. Granted we have not had it long enough to comment on life span .

Best purchase ever!

Dee May 24, 2026

I love the Hart brand products! I really like that the batteries are interchangeable with other Hart products and as an older woman, I don't have to mess with gas. After a storm knocked down a huge tree, I purchased this chainsaw. This chainsaw cuts like butter and I didn't get any kickback. Best purchase I've made!

Great Performance from the HART 40V Chainsaw

AS June 15, 2026

Excellent performance right out of the box. The HART 40V Cordless Brushless 14-inch Chainsaw sliced through a big tree branch with ease. Strong, smooth, and impressive. It replaced an old gas-powered chainsaw with none of the noise or fumes. I've only used it once so far, but I'm hoping it lasts a long time.

GREAT SAW

anonymous May 27, 2026

Easy to assemble. Lasts almost 1 hr on a full charge. Chain tensioner is easy to access and use. I recommend this product for trimming trees and cutting firewood. I've used it several times and am pleased with it's performance. I cut logs up to 16" in diameter without difficulty.

Great tool light to medium work done

pablo March 29, 2026

Great took the tree in my back yard was really tall I had a 12ft ladder and had to get 25ft later and a 15 foot extension saw also hart brand got the job done in a weekend the only downside was I did wear out the chain, but I cut the whole tree into a little pieces so it was well worth it. It was a massive tree.

Really worth buying

Joseph February 2, 2026

I already like Hart products, so this was a simple choice. I read reviews for it anyway though. Some people complained about the length of the blade. It's fine. It works great and I don't intend on chopping down large trees or redwoods, so the length is fine. It cuts great, fast and efficiently. You will need chain oil, which you do have to buy separately. I have found when buying Hart tools, like drills, batteries and chargers are separate. It's a shame, but at least this comes with both. Easy maintenance. Pop the battery in and go. Has a safety button so it just doesn't go on if you accidentally hit the trigger. Nice safety feature. Worth the purchase.

had a tree fall across my driveway and had to get a chanlinsaw delivered. I paid a little over $100 for the Hart 40v cordless chainsaw. I have low expectations, but it cut up the tree just fine. I was very shocked at its power. the only downside to it is the battery life. It didn't last long under heavy seeing. HOWEVER, if you are already invested in or plan to invest in the Hart series, the chainsaw is definitely a must buy.

Novelty item, not for moderate/heavy use.

Adam April 20, 2026

I got this to handle a downed tree in my yard. It has a 14-inch bar but struggles to handle an 8-inch tree limb. One pass through the 8-inch tree limb used half of the battery. It has an automatic oiler feature and yet was constantly overheating, causing the job to take exponentially longer due to cool-down time before the battery would even start recharging. Overall, I was making faster progress with the hand saw than with this.

I FINALLY give up on Hart

Brian July 8, 2026

Battery came completely dead and unusable. Went through Hart for remediation, as requested. Almost 2 months later (and nearly 12 emails) and they still haven't even sent the replacement. And they have the nerve to tell me to be patient, even though they said in their email it would be sent in 5 business days. A mower, 2 weed eaters, a chainsaw and an edger and I have 4 (FOUR!) Dead, unusable batteries, but I don't have the receipts except for the newest one because walmart doesn't keep older order information.... Time to switch outdoor battery powered brands....
