I need new tool to make a few holes for a DIY project and it came in handy
This is a nice little starter kit. It does three of the most common sizes, 1 1/4", 1 1/2" and 2". The fourth one, 2 1/8" is nice for 2' OD conduit holes. Just be aware that you need to do a 2x4 from both sides. The center bit is long enough to go through and it lines things up nicely. This makes a great gift.
I have a cabinet that my dad made me a long time ago and I gave it to my son for his room. I wanted him to use it for his TV stand and to hold his video game console so it needs a hole made into the back of it to run the cords. This hole saw set is perfect for the job. I no longer have to wait around for my husband to find the time to do this now that I have my own set. The Hart hole saw set comes with 5 pieces. Four hole saws and a pilot drill bit. The hole saw sizes are 1 1/4", 2", 1 1/2", and 2 1/8". The wells are one inch deep. This was perfect for cutting a hole in the back of the cabinet. I also used it to fix the jagged hole in the counter where the dishwasher cord was run. It also worked nicely to cut holes in the boards to run wiring in my building. These are well made and very sturdy. I have really put these to use since they have arrived. They can be securely stored in the case they arrived in. I found it easy to use and it done a great job. Overall, I really like this set and I cannot find fault in them at all. They do the job I need them to do and I would definitely recommend this set to others.
Received my Hart 5 Piece Assorted Hole Saw Set with Tapered Brad Point Tip Arbor some weeks ago, this set just added more power to my tools collection from Hart. This 5 Piece Hole Saw gives me an amateur in remodeling the professional look when drilling holes. It's gives you a very smooth finish when drilling holes.
This is a really nice tool you won't use often but when you do it really makes the job easy. There are several sizes for most door knobs and locks and I used it the other day to put an access hole for computer cables in furniture. The ejection holes make it easy to remove the plug and the teeth are sharp and hard and cut easily through the material. The storage case is great to keep all the bits in one spot.
So far I am very pleased with this set. I got these to make grommet holes in my counter for my work bench so I can run my power cords through. The case is perfect and small and holds everything in place. The blades seem good so far as they ripped through the wood and nails without any issues.
works as advertised. decent quality
It broke during the first use. The tightening screw that was supposed to hold the arbor to the drill fell out (did not hear it drop) before I ever got to use it. While trying to use it the arbor slipped and the drill just spun in the arbor. I would not recommend.
I was going to purchase a hole saw set from Harbor Freight but was already at Walmart and saw this one. I have never used a hole saw set before so maybe I didn't do something right. I had quite a bit of difficulty drilling a hole. When I finally finished the hole saw part was completely loose and the bolt that is supposed to hold it in place was backed all the way up as far as it could go onto my drill. I then tried another hole with the smallest hole saw bit and had the same problem. I was looking at the bit after I had completed my project and saw a hex key set screw. I unscrewed it with a 2.5mm hex tool thinking maybe it needed to be out as it was just behind the hole saw bit part, however, then the drilling bit in the middle fell out. So I assume it is for keeping the mount part attached to the bit. I plan to contact Hart Tools about this and recommend some improvements. I think if the securing bolt was threaded the opposite direction, it would probably not unscrew while in use, but I'm not an engineer.
I ordered this item via the Walmart app for curbside pickup... picked up then via the app, did a return before leaving the parking lot. Went inside, returned to customer service as she scanned the bar code from the item via my phone app. CS confirmed I would receive my refund on my cc... still have not recived my refund and I no longer have the item. why did I return... because on the way to oick uo my order Instopped someone where else and just happen to find a better item for a better price.
