[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] “I received this product for free as part of the HART Tools friends & family program. Everything stated here is true & representative of my experience.” A basic utility knife is only as good as the blade but this knife isn't basic! The angled grip is really comfortable if you are cutting up a lot of cardboard and being able to quickly change a blade without taking the knife apart, brilliant.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a christmas gift last year and I still use it daily at my maintenance job. It hasn't gotten rusty, or broke. I like the spot for extra blades to be stored. Really helps me out whenever I need one outside of the knife.

It holds 4 blades. very ergonomic and comfortable during use. we cut a lot of cardboard and this particular knife is just showing off. im sure ill be buying one for everyone here shortly! Thanks Hart!! great product and highly recommend.
Works great and i love the small cutter it came with. Knocjed off 1 star because, no instructions. Had to get my husband and even he had a hard time figuring out how to release the blade
good for every day use open boxes nice and easy
Belt clip waaay too tight. Unable to use it. Release button works fair on one knife and very very hard to release on the other. Button too small?? Almost impossible with gloves on.1/4 in drive hole should have a stop at one end. Hard to use if it is unstable. Blade doesnt move smooth but does work. Havent tried bottle opener. Wouldnt cost them anything to fix these things. Same material. Just needs a little better engineering. Great combo idea though.
I've bought two packs of these things, and I really, really wanna love them-except, for me, it works best to slip it in my back pocket, and after about a week the plastic thumb stud pops off. The knife is still serviceable, but the bare metal that the thumb stud attaches to is sharp and narrow, making it difficult and a little uncomfortable to push the blade out. I'd love to see this tool made with the thumb stud tabs folded over, rather than sticking straight up with the plastic stud. Thing would be bulletproof then! I'd say, if you don't have similar issues, it would be perfect, and even with the issue, I'm sure I'll buy more-I just gotta figure a way around it.
Hi I do grocery clerk as a job so I need to cut open boxes all night. Mainly thin plastic or tape, sometimes a box. It's an awesome light duty design. The screws were the problem; on the black knife the screws were on so tight that I couldn't open the blade , so I had to loosen the screws. The unpainted one, one of the screws fell out, so I had to super glue the remaining ones in.
You would think this simple gadget would be an easy one to figure out, however, just like all the other reviews mentioned, there's no instruction on how to load your first blade, in addition, once I got it in, the tip of the blade sticks out. After playing around with it for a bit, I finally was able to get out to go. Good grief! Fortunately, I like the feel and how it functions, otherwise, I'd say don't waste your money.
The package had no instructions for installing the blade. I bought it in store and had to search for instructions. The package could have a QR code at minimum.
