I've used this brand and type of collar for the last 4 years. It works! Our cat does not have fleas nor ticks. He used to belong to another neighbor and every time he visited me I saw ticks in him. Once the neighbors moved and left the cat. I took him, and put a flea collar in him. Never did I see ticks in him again. I tried other brands and he coughed with them. So I went back to Hartz. I especially like the reflective part of the collar which gives him an added safety when crossing the street at night.
It took awhile for me to get the product, but it appears to be a good product. Odorless.
CONTRARY TO WHAT VET'S TELL ME , THEY SAY THESE COLLARS DON'T WORK I BEG TO DIFFER. THESE COLLARS DO WORK, MY CAT'S GO OUTSIDE WHENEVER THEY PLEASE THE ONLY TIME I HAVE ISSUE'S WITH FLEA'S IS WHEN I FORGET TO CHANGE THE COLLAR OR WHEN MY CRITTERS COME BACK FROM THE VET. ALSO THEY DON'T LAST 7 MONTHS IF REPLACED EVERY 5 TO 6 MONTHS YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM. JUST DON'T PUT IT ON TOO TIGHT LIKE SOME FOOL ON YOUTUBE DID, OR TOO LOOSE.
It is kind of early to tell if they work. I expect that they will.
Have found that in order to 'release' all the potential of the collar, is to take it out of it's packaging, then unroll it and stretch the dickens out of it so as to activate the chemical used. We all know that washing the critters on a regular basis helps tremendously. I use these collars in conjunction with diatomaceous earth, the food grade product.
I have 4 cats and finding what works on a tight budget is hard. But my family has sworn by this brand for years. So now that I am a kitty mommy of 4 I went for the product my father and grandmother had used and it's a good product. Like the break away collar because when they get to sqwabling sometimes they will break the collars instead of choking each other.

At first I thought I would be pleased with the results. I live in the country and have 2 indoor cats. I'd found some fleas on them and figured these would help. Yeah right I combed my cats last night and fleas are still on them and still very much alive. (And yes I followed directions and did everything properly. ) But I'll never order this brand again.
I can't tell how I liked this collar.Ihad in the past used same brand of my dogs and they worked great too until last year when it came up missing befor the season was over. So this year I decided to try one less expensive. Bristle came home without his new collar.
I bought this product on Friday July 11 for four collars for my cats and the topical for my dogs . Applied them and put collars on when I got home. Next day still fleas all over walking right under the collars and also all over the dogs bottoms. Most useless things I wasted money on. Don't spend your hard earned money on this crap . Zero stars is what is gets had to give it one wouldn't let me post without it
