This collar is excellent for protecting your dog against fleas and ticks for up to 7 months. This collar also has reflective technology so when light hits collar it reflects the direct light so your dog can be seen. Great safety feature. And the collar is also water resistant. it's ok. see an occasional flea but better.

Reflective flea collar; easy to put on and adjust for size. Nice feature is reflective; unsure if that will wear off however, as I have had similar ones in the past where the reflective coating wears off. Haven't seen any fleas, but have only had the collar on for a week, so it's difficult to know full efficacy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I've been using the collar on our two year old dog for about a month now. It works great, except for when ticks first jump on the dog, and she brings them into the house, otherwise it's killing the ticks. I haven't found a product that works on killing ticks quick enough when they first get on the dog, and she comes inside right after they get on her. We have to do a better job of checking her, in that case. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I got this a month ago and so far so good. It seems to be comfortable not aggravating for the dog and the reflective part is great. The only reason I gave it a 4 star review is because it's supposed to last up to 7 months and I'm no where near 7 months otherwise I would have given at a 5 star rating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

WAY WAY TOO MUCH POISON ON THE COLLAR I BOUGHT, IT ATE UP MY DOGS NECK IN 3 DAYS!!! SELLER REFUSES TO GIVE REFUND!! DON'T BUY!

I bought 5 of these a week ago, we don't have a huge flea problem but enough of one that your collars are NOT doing the job! I'm super disappointed!!

I had not had a pet in several years, & had used Hartz Flea & Tick Collars in the past. When we adopted a puppy the end of December, she came with another brand of flea collar, and spares. In late July, we needed to get a new collar for her, & I bought a Hartz collar @ WalMart. Within 2 days, my beautiful, lovable dog was so sick she wouldn't eat, was losing weight, and she had symptoms similar to Lyme disease. She could barely walk, her personality underwent a drastic change, and we had to put a leash on her to literally drag her outside to do her business. Within a couple of days, we took her to the vet's office, where she was tested for Lime disease, which was eliminated. Even the vet was stumped, and sent us home with puppy meds to settle her stomach, and prescription dog food. When she still didn't improve, & seemed to be getting worse, we started talking about what had changed, and the only thing was the new collar. My fiancé took it off her, and put it in a plastic bag, far away from her. Within hours we could see a difference; it has taken 4 weeks for her to get (mostly) back to her original self--she still doesn't eat much, and still shows signs of the same stiffness in her walk. To sum it up, we will not be buying any Hartz products in the future.
