Hatchimals Alive, Neon Rainbow 1-Pack Surprise Figure in Egg, for Ages 3 and up (Styles Vary)

This was my second time buying a few Hatchimals. I initially bought some last-minute for my niece's birthday surprise party to make sure all the kids had one to open. They are very cute, but the kids opened them so quickly that I didn't see one hatch on its own. The instructions aren't in English, but the pictures make the steps easy to follow. Be sure to use very warm or hot water, or you'll be waiting a while—kids definitely didn't enjoy the wait and ended up breaking them open. One even went into the pool, which surprisingly made it hatch instantly. This time, I bought two for myself because now I was curious to see them hatch on their own. I used very warm water and filled the tray to the top. Colorful liquid started to come out of the bottom of the egg. Soon after, the egg started hatching, and the tiny creature slowly emerged. It only gets partway out and then you have to peel away some of the eggshell to reveal the entire little Hatchimal. Overall, I think these little toys are adorable and fun to watch hatch and discover which one you get, as there are many to collect. Kids loved the Hatchimals, whether they watched the hatching process or not, lol. Overall, a cute and affordable little surprise-animal hatching experience for kids and even adults to enjoy. Especially if you let them hatch properly lol.

It's a waste of money and it's nothing what it appears to be. Plus the kids have to play in water to reveal it. Don't get it

Too small for it to be age appropriate I would say 4 needs supervision for sure but for the cost of it it's to much for just a couple seconds of it popping then you have to do the rest? Not worth it in my opinion

This item is wayyyy smaller than expected- One tiny suprise bag for $19 is crazy to me. It is a single- simple tiny plastic figurine- nothing “Alive” about it like stated in the name. Cute tho. Kids still obsess over the name brand- but as a parent and all the other options out there;; I was a bit disappointed. However my child is not; they like the unboxing of anything.
