The packaging was cute and she loved the entire hatching egg experience. After the egg hatched she then loved the idea of being able to take care of the pet herself. So cute and would definitely recommend and purchase again for gifts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the moment we opened this toy it was nothing but FUN! Not only was this toy interactive but very durable and felt like a quality made toy. My daughter played with this for hours and now wants to take it EVERYWHERE with her. I felt this toy was very safe for alone play and the battery life is so far exceptional. I would get another one to give as a gift to another child.

My son is 6 and he was so excited with the process of opening a Hatchimal. Im an adult and even I was excited. It comes in a big egg, the egg starts glowing and making cute noises, you have to cuddle and "love" the egg for it to hatch, when the rainbow light glows you can start tapping the egg shell open. It's so cool it actually breaks open like an egg and dry ice or something starts steaming giving the realness of a hatching egg. The little Panda with wings is adorable and makes many noises and actions. My son loves it and calls it his baby. Awesome toy!

I hatched this egg with our kids and it turned out to be a draggle which was perfect for my son! Hatching the egg was the most fun part, you have to interact with the toy to get it to hatch. My kids had so much fun talking, petting and rubbing the egg to get him to hatch. This version is updated so it hatched it a timely manner and no one got bored, this version also has smoke and lights added so it was super cool. It also has hatching noises so that was an awesome added effect. The plush has more than 100 reactions and sounds so it's not just one of those useless surprise toys. It's really cute and soft too. It's a well crafted toy and inexpensive for the amount of fun and details the company put into it. You won't be disappointed in this new 2024 version of the hatchimal! This will be the it toy for christmas so get your hands on it while you can!

The durability is impressive—it's designed to withstand lots of play, and it holds up beautifully, even with daily use. The entertainment factor is top-notch, keeping her engaged as she waits for the surprise to hatch and loves interacting with it afterward. From an educational perspective, it's fantastic for teaching responsibility and patience, as she gets to “care” for her Hatchimal. The toy requires batteries, which last a good while, and the safety features are well-considered, making it a worry-free experience for parents. My daughter absolutely adores it, and I couldn't be happier. Her baby sister also enjoys trying to take it from her so I may be going out to get another one. Haha

This is the toy that will be hard to find this year because it is a toy that most kids will want! It is a large egg and the interactive hatching and anticipation is exciting for kids and adults. We got the pandoo mystery egg. Cute toy might get annoying with the sounds but overall it is a big hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls were very excited to open this up (especially my youngest) the packaging is nice and it has instructions as to how to open the package properly. Once it's opened, you have a cute shimmery pink egg that lights up and we can hear the pandoo reacting inside the egg. We were all excited to see which pandoo we got. It was all fun until we got to the “show love” part. In this part we're supposed to cuddle it, tap it, pick it up & rock it so it can hatch. Once it ready to hatch it'll play some music and light up with rainbow colors. We all took turns (4 of us in total here) but after 5-10 minutes the excitement was fading. Finally we saw the rainbow colors along with the music and set it down but there was some more waiting as it needed to hatch. After a few more minutes we were able to see what we got. The girls were happy and interacted with it for the rest of the evening. It reminded me of back when furby's were in. Overall, cute toy. The concept is great, who doesn't love surprises right? The only thing I would change is how long it takes to hatch.

Overall, it's a pretty cute toy. The hatching took forever. I don't think most kids would have the attention span to patiently wait for it to hatch. Once it hatched, my son had a fun time teaching it how to burp. It can learn quite a few things which is decently impressive. The instructions could be better. I don't know why they felt the need to include the mist, but it stunk. It definitely took more chemicals than I wanted in my bedroom to produce that. The lights and sounds are cool. It's amusing that it sings happy birthday to itself. My son hasn't played with it a ton after the hatching which is unfortunate. Because of that, I'm glad I didn't buy it. It would be great for a kid that is a little more maternal. Overall, it's a pretty cool interactive toy.

It's very entertaining to watch the little animal hatch and it's literally packaged in an egg. My little one is obsessed with this toy gunna get her a new one for Christmas.

This happens consistently when I order from the Walmart app. I received the Hatchimal, and it works great, but it's not the kind we ordered. We ordered the panda variation because we have a dragon one. However, we receive the dragon mystery box. I normally would just roll with it, but like I said this is a constant thing with Walmart ordering. I get kind of what I wanted, but never exactly what I ordered.
