[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls loved hatching these eggs and it wasn't difficult for a five year old to do. Since there was 12, it made sharing so easy without fuss. The egg container is very study and great for trips to play dates. The hatchimals are cute little "flying" additions to their tiny toy collection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was our first hatchimals product but my girls knew exactly what to do when we opened the carton as they had seen videos before. To get the eggs to crack, you just need to rub the heart on the egg to get it to turn from purple to pink. It was pretty quick process and we only had to rub each egg 20 seconds or so to get it ready to crack. Then you push your thumb just above the heart and the egg cracks. You have to break off some of the egg to get the animals out. The animals themselves are pretty cute and it was great that we got 12 different animals. And you can use the egg carton as storage after for the hatchimals which I love. Overall we think it was a fun toy and my girls already asked to get another one.

Product came well packaged and it was a hit at my nieces birthday party she loves cracking open the little eggs and finding the surprise would highly recommend for a toddler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three girls - 6, 4, and 2 and they have been asking for Colleggtibles for quite some time after seeing them opened on YouTube! They were SOOO excited to get the little carton and they each got to open a few. I got to open one too - I thought they would make a lot of mess, but as long as the pink heart was rubbed enough, the egg opened really nicely. There was even a little portion on the bottom that the girls kept in the little egg carton because it looks so cute. They loved that each one was different - some were glitter, one was clear - they are all really fun. There were many squeals as they were opening them and they thought I was the coolest Mom EVER (for a little while anyway!) They still play with them even a couple days after opening the eggs - so they definitely have staying power!

She would warm the heart and break off a small piece and try to guess which creature was inside by the color she saw before she opened the egg all the way. I highly recommend this for a gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to get the 12-pack carton of Hatchimals since I have two kids but didn't want to have to get two of the large Hatchimals. My 5 and 3 year old loved the concept of taking care of the eggs and hatching them. I had them only hatch one egg a day each and they seemed ok with this. They were excited to see which hatchimal was in each egg. I am happy with the choice I made.

The process to open this was fun and engaging. My daughter loved matching up the items she opened to the little chart that came with the 12 pack. Additionally she loved guessing what animal was inside based on the outside color. She has had this item for about a week or so and still plays with it often. She makes sure to show all of her friends who visit the house all of her little animals first among her toys. I know I will be adding more of these eggs to her Christmas list!

My daughters loved opening these and seeing all the different eggs they got. Make sure you get them on sale because way too many doubles from buying 4 cartons. Time for them to come out with a new season or have a bigger selection. Kids love to see what they got and the animals are very cute. Come on season 2!
