Hatchimals Surprise, Giraven, Hatching Egg with Surprise Twin Interactive Hatchimal Creatures by Spin Master

I bought these for my granddaughter for her birthday and her face lit up with joy as soon as she saw the box! She plays with them all the time and even named them Lovey and Dovey! These are in addition to the hatchimal i bought for her for Christmas. Im sure i will be purchasing more!

I bought this for my daughters and the way the egg hatches by its self is incredible. I had guest over to see it hatch as well. We were all excited.

From unboxing, to getting the egg to crack open, to the realization that there were twins inside! They have loved every minute. They haven't put them down since the box arrived. This will be the go to toy for a while around this house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previously I really didn't understand the hype about this toy. I thought "What's the fun in a stuffed animal hatching from an egg?". Boy was I wrong! The toy egg itself is huge and pretty. Much bigger and heavier than I expected. Together my daughters whom are 7 & 8 years old and myself read the instructions. We carefully opened it and did as it instructed. Immediately the babies inside started cooing and making noises and lighting up and my daughters were so excited! The babies eyes light through the egg and their eye color alerts you to their needs or wants. So we followed the cheat sheet included and tried to keep the egg babies happy. And to my surprise it was very fun and exciting especially for my girls. When the time came, the Egg actually hatched! I couldn't believe it. I still cant figure out how the toy makers did this. Again we followed the instructions. Our TWIN babies hatched and sang Hatchy Birthday! It was the cutest thing. My daughters each claimed their baby and then we realized how interactive the babies were. They acted like babies, then toddlers, then kids probably within an hour of playing with them. Their sounds change through the stages so its easy to recognize. My girls were fully entertained the entire time. Never once did they get bored or forget about the babies the whole evening. They even slept with their baby and this morning I had to insist they turn them off so we could get ready for school. As a mother and adult I loved how interactive the babies were. The cheat sheet explains how they like to be nose to nose so they are not lonely. They tell each other jokes, and bicker!. That's so cute. They made it so the babies have a relationship and I just think its the cutest thing ever. I would totally recommend this toy! 100% happy and so are my daughters. The twin idea is great and perfect if you have two children. Since the babies interact it keeps my kids playing together so that is also a plus. Only advice I have for the toy maker....include birth certificates the kids could fill out. GREAT TOY! I highly recommend it!

I realize the "hatching" is just a schtick, but it is sooooo awesome! I can see myself getting sucked into purchasing more for my kids. The toy itself is fun, but it's the hatching that you pay for.

It teaches responsibility because she knows that she has to take care of it in order for it to hatch. The anticipation of waiting for it to hatch to see which ones you receive. She enjoys taking care of it and how it reacts to the different type of stimulation. I will definitely be buying this again and recommending them to others. They eggs may take a few days to hatch so don't get discouraged.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the most exciting toy my household has ever gotten. After removing the gigantic egg my girls took turns keeping the egg warm by rubbing. After about 20+ minutes the egg had cracked completely and my girls just about lost it! They love that the hatchimal's interact with each other. Looks like I'll be at the store to grab another because my girls are already patiently awaiting siblings for their hatchimals!

Was a great surprise for my daughter for Christmas, but one keeps dying even after replacing the batteries twice! And the wing broke, and doesn't stay on it
