Havahart 16x6x6-3/8 Animal Trap Single Door

I have captured 2 chipmonks out of 3 days that I set it. Would not recommend leaving it overnight as bigger varmints will attempt to get the bait.

I've had a squirrel problem for years.Squirrels would destroy my garden for years, and run and and make a mess on the deck and porch. I tried everything to get rid or control them nothing worked. I decided to try this trap from Walmart. I caught twelve in a week and took them all to a wildlife environment, seems to have worked so far no squirrels recently. The trap is very easy to use , reasonable price and very humane for the animals.

This trap works wonderfully. This is my fourth time buying a rat trap and this is the one that works. Save your time, frustration, and money and go with this one to start with. I used peanut butter and pretzels and got two at once off my back screened porch.

Bought it to relocate squirrels. They were becoming active on my roof. (Bad news) Very easy to setup, capture, and transport. MUCH cheaper than an exterminator and possible home repairs. As best as I can calculate I reduced the squirrel population by 90% in a couple of weeks. Also, the trap is safe and does not injure the squirrel.

I caught 5 chipmunks all within 15 minutes of each other by putting a cat food 5 ounce can filled with peanuts on the pedal and a cat food 5 oz can full of bird seed under the back of the trap in the ground about half under the pedal. I haven't tried to catch the squirrel yet and I imagine I'm going to need the bigger version of this cage because this squirrel is King Kong sized.

Caught chipmunk within hours do setting trap for first time... Door on trap can be slow to close, some oil on the door edge will ensure smooth and fast operation.

Very nice and we'll built live trap, however it has a very sensitive trigger for trap door. Don't give up trying to set it, it helps to lean door towards the trap body.

very well made and produced excellent results, during this few days it obtained a dozen or so results (meaning I had captured a chipmunk). Now that it has been outside in use for two weeks the latch cover is starting to show signs of rust. Purchase the one door Havahart model if you desire to remove chipmunks, squirrels might require the next size larger trap.

Needed for a rat...but first...you must grease the trigger, it was a little stiff making the trap door close slowly. After it was greased...worked like a charm. Had a rat in the attic reeking havoc practically all through the nights. My son set the trap with banana and peanut butter, and in less than 24 hours caught the rat and set it free at a nearby creek. A week later...still rat free and quiet nights! Its a well made trap and very easy to use. Happy trapping!
