defective and worthless
had traps in the past but this one is the first with a trigger bar NOT attached lose this piece which keeps coming off and the trap is worthless door does nor rise as it should all the way because the bar keeps falling off called the company to tell them about this defect and all they said was return to walmart

Good Quality, would fit a squirrel
Was very easy to set up, and set off very easy but unfortunately we discovered what we were trying to trap was tooooo big for these traps! 😳😅

Plastic prevents door closure
Good concept,, poor design. Plastic stops the door from properly closing shut, causing escapes! Also, extra rod needed for the closing mechanism keeps falling apart.

piece to set can be easily lost.
the piece you use to set the trap is not attached...when the trap us sptunt rhat puece fdlls to the ground. can ve easilt lost in the grass.

Disappointed
Was a bit disappointed that the door wouldn't snap shut as you'd expect a live trap to operate. The arm that holds the trigger, catches and door stays open. The cage itself seems solid. Perfect size for chipmunks and squirrels. The whole point is the door. Bummer.

10 tries to get 1 squirrel. 5 before %26 5 after online suggested refit got me 1.

The trap did not work. I returned it. The setting lever bar is not permanently attached like the bigger havahart traps it falls out of the plastic hole and can be easily lost. The metal setting was inadequate. Unable to set trap at all.
