Exact replacement for the pump that I had did not need to repipe my system
Perfect replacement for my pump, however, I called and specifically asked the customer service rep. If the cord was 6 feet as advertised to which she answered yes. Well, it's not. 3 foot cord required my bringing in an electrician. Not a good experience!
Yes, It was an easy installation. I hard plumbed it into my above ground pool myself. I'm a 76 yr old female and if I can do it, anyone can. It runs like a charm. I have a 18 x 33 above ground pool that I swapped out this new PowerFlo Matris pump for. It replaced my old PowerFlo. This newer model seems to be a bit quieter. It runs like a charm running the filtration system to my pool.
so far so good. we ordered this to replace our Raypak, which quit operating about a month ago. problem was, the in/out piping was not equivalent/compatable with the piping already installed. we tried to get a "kit" or something which would allow the new pump to fit -- and fortunately there is a local (we're in W. colorawdough) outlet who could install this. the pump seems to be stronger, more in/outlet of water than the previous -- and, so far, hasn't quit running due to overheating -- which the prior pump did when the temp got hot.
I ordered this pump after talking with 2 different agents about the compatibility of it with a built in pool. I was assured it would be no problem & had it hooked up..it has a big problem with priming before each start & am afraid this will shorten pumps life span. Had I known the truth regarding the priming problem I certainly would have not ordered it. I did indeed call company the 2nd day of use to report it's issues.
wasn't a 6' cord
Been In the Swim customer 20 years. This year ordered the pump. Pump was on sale $369 and it was immediately defective. I only learned it was defective after it was installed. In the Swim doesn't allow refunds if product was used (??). I had to go thru Hayward warranty. They never called back but I had a job number to reference. Finally I called Leslies (owner of In the Swim) in WilkesBarre PA and they offered to send the unit back for me and I purchased another one - couldn't get the same price as I was told if you buy something on sale - no warranty comes with it (Still ???). Purchased the second one $400 and it works great. Never got the credit. One week later I finally had to file a chargeback with the credit card company because no credit was coming through. Not sure I will ever purchase anything more than chemicals from them again.
I would rate 0 but won't let me I've tried to get returned and have had nothing but issues I received on time and when opening the entire filter side was cracked

Bought new. Worked four times. Now, it will not start. In The Swim told me to call Hayward. Hayward never called me. I have a hunk of junk sitting in my garage. In the Swim doesn't care
