Great paddle -- all features as advertised -- soft grip, with better ball control, touch, & spin. Updates on order were accurate; paddle arrived when Pickleball Central said it would. Have used this paddle for about 20 hours in the past two weeks -- wish I'd ordered one a long time ago.
I've been playing with my new paddle for a couple weeks now and really like it. Feels like the rougher surface (my first paddle was flat and shiny) gives more control. Overall very pleased with the Radical Tour.... except seems everyone has one. -:) Guess that's a good sign.
I would not buy a paddle from anyone else other than Pickleball Central! They go above and beyond excellent customer service! My husband and I bought paddles that were defective after playing with them for several months. PC replaced the paddles with a “smile“and no hassles! When the second paddles did the same thing they gave us credits toward new paddles- no hassle and with a “smile.” They were very personal on the phone; as well as, in their emails! I recommend them to all of my family and friends!
Love my new Head Radical Tour! I’m an intermediate player and this paddle work perfect for me, without breaking the bank. Pickleball Central service was excellent. Received the paddle in excellent condition, sooner than I expected. Thank you so much!
By far the best paddle for the money. Head high end paddles have perfect balance and not top heavy like more expensive paddles. Grips are so comfortable. And listen to the sound this paddle makes when you hit a hard shot. BOOM as the ball explodes off the paddle.
I purchased this paddle for it's combination of carbon hitting surface and it's reported ability to spin well, since that is a significant part of my game. I like the feel of the paddle when hitting a ball. It feels solid, but still provides good control. It does have some ability to spin the ball, but not as much as the paddle that I was using before. As a result, it has been taking me some time to decide how much I really liked this paddle. I am getting used to it and it is becoming my primary paddle now, however, I can easily tell that I cannot spin the ball quite as well as with my other paddle. Overall I am pleased with it. The grip is extremely comfortable. The paddle face looks great. I believe that I have better control than I had with my old paddle.
Really pleased with this paddle. The grip is excellent, nicely cushioned but with a good feel. The paddle is lively and the hitting surface gives a nice transfer of power from the arm to the ball. It is also very easy to put spin on the ball. I have been using this paddle for two weeks now and it just keeps getting better.
I find this paddle to be very nice overall. Nice level of spin, nice control, nice power, nice soft shots. This paddle has my preferred graphite face and poly core. I use this paddle over my more expensive graphite ad carbon fiber paddles from a couple other companies. My paddle arrived weighing 7.9 ounces.
The paddle seems to be both sturdy and not too heavy. It is beginning to get scuffed on the edges from wear. I paid $85 for a paddle with no cover. Really? I hope that was just an oversight. I have ordered much less expensive paddles and all cam with covers to protect them.
I bought this paddle strictly based on what I know of the quality of this makers ski's and tennis racquets. I have only played with this paddle a couple of dozen times but I am already a fan. The folks at Head have never let me down. To date I am quite satisfied with this paddle. Light weight without sacrifice to power and a surface that although seems relatively smooth allows you to spin the ball easily. Another winner fro Head.
