Healing Yoga (DVD)

I was having considerable back pain and had been in physical therapy for several weeks with little result.  I have achieved great success with yoga on a daily basis and thought I would look for a DVD on back pain.  This DVD is fantastic! My back pain is greatly improved after only 2 weeks of daily exercise.  I will continue to use  this yoga series daily.

Rodney Yee's video AM/PM Yoga has been a staple in my house for years. Now "Healing Yoga" can help reinforce his guidance.

this dvd has several sections that you can choose from.  One particularly challenging day, I started with the stress poses, then stomach poses and ended with the back care poses.  I slept very well that night...

While Rodney Yee offers much more physically demanding yoga courses such as his "power yoga" this dvd is very accessible to beginners, the elderly, and those with physical weakness who still want to move in a way that is pleasing to the body and relaxing for the mind. I love it!

If everyone in the world started and ended their day with the simple practices demonstrated brilliantly in this serene and stress-reducing DVD, what a change it might make! Seniors, those with back or limb pain, anyone recovering from an injury, and those who just want to get up and go in the nicest way possible should definitely invest their time into at least the first three sessions on the DVD. These stretching exercises are relaxing and need no yoga expertise: anyone can do them. I get up early before work now just because I look forward to doing these exercises in front of a beautiful ocean setting with two yoga instructors who really know how to demonstrate self-care. They are truly life-savers! I am so grateful I happened upon this DVD: what luck!

This dvd is interesting. I have tried them all even though I don't have some of these ailments. I like the ideas and movements behind this dvd. Most poses are easy. Each section is less then 10 min long so it's easy to pop it in and get to the section you need. I'm already recommending this to my friends because its really not work out yoga it's healing gentle movements that most people could handle.

I like this DVD because I have a 20 minute practice I do every day for my back and sometimes I would like to go a little longer but not necessarily a full 20 minutes more. These 8 minute practices are perfect for those days!

I had such high hopes for this DVD. I LOVE Rodney's Conditioning for Athletes and thought this would be as stellar. I liked the idea of multiple, shorter workouts, but they don't flow, in my opinion. Also, they are so quick I didn't feel the relief I do with the previously stated DVD. I suppose if you are pressed for time, this would be a good option.

I have a few Rodney Yee DVD's and they are all very good. This one is a waste of money. The remedies are not helpful. The migraine section is particularly poor as any migraine sufferer would tell you that inverted postures are not good for migraines. The last thing you need is more blood going to the head. There isn't even much programming on this DVD. I'd return it, but not worth paying the shipping.
