I've been using this triple strength astaxanthin for a few years now. I had read that our military uses it for soldiers in desert areas. The main thing for me is that it has stopped me from getting sunburned. I have a lot of outdoor summer chores, and I can't hide out inside during the hottest part of the day. This has protected me more than any sunscreen ever did.

It doesn't have to be this brand, but everyone should be taking 12mg of astaxanthin/day. This, vitamin D and C are my must-haves. My skin looks great.

These are my experiences, obviously yours may vary. The Astaxanthin seems to have aggravated my osteoarthritis. Not as bad as the beet stuff though! Will try again to confirm it. The beet stuff caused all my major joints to seriously ache! Very few supplements do anything. There is probably a good deal of reasons for this. The major one is seriously poor bioavailability. For me the saw palmetto did nothing. I tried many different saw palmetto supplements, very little to nothing. Getting up 5 to 6 times a night is no fun..... I tried lycopene and that WORKED, Happy!!! Now I just have to clear my cataract. I purchased the Astaxanthin for my eyes.
