Good product, good price

anonymous April 20, 2025

This is a quality product at a good price. I personally take it to help reduce my risk of prostate problems and to help avoid hair loss.

Excellent product

JENNIFER G. December 3, 2020

We've been taking lycopene for several years, and Healthy Origins has become our go-to brand, since their softgels have never arrived clumped together (that's been a problem with some other brands), they are reasonably priced, and so far have arrived with a far-off sell-by date. So glad they're available from Swanson.

Super-Important Antioxidant

VitaminPro65 June 16, 2019

Lycopene is the most important of all of the dietary carotenoids (including lutein, vitamin A, Beta-Carotene, etc.). Your body stores more lycopene than other carotenoids. Lycopene is essential for heart, prostate, skin, and maybe even eye and brain health. Eating lycopene-containing foods RAW will NOT provide you with sufficient levels of lycopene. It stays tightly bound to the fiber during digestion. It works best in heated / cooked foods, such as pasta sauce, pizza, and so on...or in supplement form. And this product contains the most clinically effective supplement form. Studies show between 15 and 30 mg. a day works best.

Vital Antioxidant

VitaminMan February 11, 2017

Lycopene is actually essential for human health. It is found in high concentrations in various organs, tissues and systems throughout your body...if you consume enough of it. Also, it has been proven that consuming lycopene that has been heated and taken with some fat provides the greatest benefits [i.e. spaghetti sauce, pizza, etc.). Eating fruits / vegetables that contain lycopene does not provide much of the nutrient to your body, as it is tightly bound to fiber, and is not well absorbed in your digestive system. Therefore, there is no sure-fire way of knowing how much lycopene you get from your diet. Taking it in supplement form (this product specifically) will ensure you get what you need. While government regulations prohibit me from mentioning specific health benefits, I can give you some general guidelines. Lycopene helps promote healthy cardiovascular, prostate, skin, brain and eye health. I have been in the supplement industry for 24 years. And with everything I know about lycopene, I have been taking it in supplement form for over 15 years.

Not Lycomato version as advertised. Bait and switc

Bert March 24, 2026

I ordered this lycopene specifically because it was the Lyc-O-Mato version with olive oil What I received was entirely different. It is the cheaper version of lycopene in sunflower oil. In the advertisement, it has Lyc-O-Mato on the label. Classic bait and switch. It is a tomato based supplement, and it may be okay, but I don't know. I know what is in the Lyc-O-Mato version.

Ingredients do not match pictured product

Robert September 29, 2023

Don't believe the pictures. The ingredients on what you receive is not the same as what the seller has pictured. I purchased these for "Lyc-o-mato" Lycopene as pictured on the front of the bottle and in the ingredients on the back. What I received is totally different. It's just generic Lycopene.
