The case is very small, much smaller than the other design I had before—plastic, slide-in, with two compartments. So on the plus side, it is portable. But the big problem with the product is this: As you can see from the picture, the manufacturer intends for you to put the batteries in without the plastic tabs batteries come packaged with. This is a design flaw, and shows a lack of understanding of the batteries operation. Once you remove the protective plastic tab, the batteries are activated by the air. As your audiologist will tell you, you should wait a minute or two after removing the tab to allow the air to activate the battery for optimum battery life, but if you do that just to fit them in the case, then wait two or three days before using them to replace dead batteries in you hearing aids, they will be degraded even before you put them in. If you try to fit the batteries in with the tabs still attached (Duracell, Rayovac, etc.) you cannot close the lid without great difficulty. So it's better than nothing, but not much.
