Heavy Duty Double Rabbit Hutch

Husband and I just assembled it last night. Pretty basic and easy. big enough for our 3 rabbits. I like the pull out tray. Easier to clean than letting it all fall to the ground and shoveling it out.

I keep my rabbits in the house as keeping them outdoors is really dangerous for rabbits, so I cut the legs off this cage and put it in their ""area"" and they love getting in there to hide and nap. My elder rabbit who will be 8 years old in January was having a hard time getting up the ramp, so that's why I cut the legs off for her.

This is a nice roomy cage for two animals. My rabbits love these. They are easy to clean. Pans ar not as durable as the rest of the cage. The pans tend to bend and drip out manure, even when cleaned on a regular basis. The pans will also rust if you are not carefull. I line all my pans with 30 gallon plastic bags. It would be nice to see another support of two under the pans to prevent the bending.

I really like this cage it is large enough for 5 of my does. love the devidor but under the same cage! nice and high off ground but maybe a little too high i cant open the top (im too short) and kinda a waste of space on the bottom. the tray is large and kinda hard to carry but easy to clean. all in all good cage.

I keep Silkies in this hutch at night and let them roam most days. This is not my first Ware product and I am very pleased with it. It is well made and holds up better than you would think. It is big and roomy. I feel it is well made and does a great job of keeping my birds safe. I assembled it myself with only a small hitch when the predrilled hole was on the wrong side (an easy fix).

Probably the biggest cage available for home use. Easy to assemble with just a screwdriver. Very spacious. Left out the divider to give our bunny lots of room. Need to add urine deflectors if you are not using a litter box since the wood back will eventually get soiled. Were some sharp wire edges that needed to be bent away from bunny. Overall happy with the cage.

I don't know if it is durable enough yet. I love the product design. The rabbits adjusted real well to it.

This cage will work for our two rabbits, but we had to do some modifications to make it fit together properly. Even though it says all wingnuts should be in the cage, some of the fittings make that impossible. And, it came warped, so the middle barrier wouldn't stay in place. We had to screw a bar into it to hold it together. Overall, I think this cage will work for our purposes and be easier to clean than other cages we have had.

I have cages from 20 yrs ago I am still using with some maintainence. I have cages from 19 years ago where they changed to cheaper wire 1x1 inch that mice and up to medium sized rats could squeeze through. This latest order is half by half inch wire which keeps out rodents but really hard on feet and the wood frame is reduced and whole thing goes together with 4 screws. Expect 2 yr at best. Plus found 3 sites with major savings in cost and still free ship or local pickup. This product has so seriously declined in manufacture quality to control cost, cannot recommend it unless you are only looking for a couple years of service. Then I would say good cage and easiest assembly ever.

The product came in a box that looked like it had been dropped and battered on numerous occasions. The contents of the box were damaged. I had to glue one piece back together and other pieces of wood had several splits in them. Then the supposed easy construction proved to be not so easy. Some of the graphics are difficult to read. I would not by this product again or buy anything through Hayneedle again.
