Heavy Duty Large Rabbit Hutch

Many other hutches have the floor pan too close to the bottom frame making it difficult to remove when it gets full. This one is set down a little more making cleaning easy. Fast shipping and great service from the manufacturer (Ware) when I had a defective roof assembly.

Bought this because it is the only one where the tray is set down a little lower than the rest making removal for cleaning much easier. I had a problem with a cracked roof support which with a quick phone call and photos to Ware was replaced free of charge. I have found Ware's customer service second to none. My only suggestion would be for a piece for a wood panel on the bottom of one half of the cage and maybe a divider for safety and security. Other than that it's quite suitable.

This is a second hutch and seems fairly well constructed and went together with few problems. The chicken wire was not pulled tighton one side (looked like it was ""punched"") but since this is purely aesthetic and shouldn't affect safety we won't sweat it. It is one of the few hutches available with a steel litter box set far enough below the cage floor so it comes out much easier than the rest when full. There is no partial wooden floor to one side like our other hutch which would be nice. Protective feet on the legs should be mandatory for protection against bare wood sitting on wet surfaces after rain. It is also a bit expensive for what it is but I'm sure that's part of what got it here for $4.99 in 2 days.

Rabbits are a prey animal and must have a hidey box area. This size would maybe be appropriate for ONE guinea pig; not a rabbit. Purchase a metal exercise / puppy pen instead for half the price.
