Best hotdog ever!

Ping4 May 19, 2025

The only hotdog I'll eat! They are yummy and allow me to stay on my plan. I can't find them anywhere in the store so please please please bring them back!

Great Taste

JHenson May 3, 2020

I was expecting these to not taste good but they were great! My husband even liked them. I just wish they were not so much more expensive than regular hotdogs.

What is Happening to Hebrew National Hot Dogs?

Mikey July 10, 2024

While these are my first choice in hot dogs none of the grocery stores that I've been too in the last several months have had them. Nor do they even have a spot for them on the shelves. And now ALL of the stores near me seem to not have any Hebrew National Hot Dogs!

Best Hot Dogs

Danielle November 13, 2020

Hebrew National 97% Fat Free hot dogs are the only hot dogs I eat. I've been eating them for a few years because they are so good, but recently started WW and they are only 1 point, which makes them even better. It has been hard to find them lately. I hope this is only because of the pandemic and that they aren't being discontinued.

The best, I can eat more than one.

cjkill June 20, 2025

I bought several packages several months ago and love them. I am able to have several at a meal, but alas, I can no longer find them either near me or online. Please tell me you haven't discontinued these. Where can I purchase more. I'm in the 48706 zip code. I'm willing to order online if necessary.

Good Healthy Option

TFrom August 16, 2025

They're decent. They don't taste as good as the regular ones from Hebrew National, but given the nutritional breakdown, it still deserves a 4-star. I suspect it's the potato starch that's affecting the flavor, though it could just be the fact that fat does make things taste good. Too bad people are unscientifically afraid of MSG, since it could probably help fill out the flavor a bit.

Too Bad So Sad

Any mouse May 13, 2026

I find it curious that out of all your assortment of hot dogs, you decide to not make the 97% fat free ones readily available like the others. I'm guessing because people really want the 97% fat free ones and like other commodities you push out the other fatty ones. There is a whole segment of people wanting the 97% fat free ones and you choose to ignore us. Bye Bye then, I won't be purchasing your other ones.

Not the best low fat H- Dog, but the one available

Leonard May 23, 2023

The only reason these hot dogs review as well as they do are they're the only non-synthetic/ non-test tube based hot dog that you can sometimes find. Following are disappointments IMHO: 1) Low package quantity (shrink-flated) vs price point at almost a $1 a hot dog or $9.28 a pound at Walmart. (where is the value for the customer in that?) 2) Doesn't grill very well. Let's face it Hot Dogs are for the grill and not the microwave. Marginally, boiled or steamed. They don't plump up traditionally like a typical hot dog, instead they whither and char. 3) Can't get over the filler which looks like white plastic threads throughout the hot dog. Break one open before cooking and see for yourself. Suspect this has to do with the non-typical hot dog texture before and after cooking. 4) Ball Park and Oscar Mayer all had better fat-free hot dogs (a weight watchers plan friendly staple) that tasted and cooked much better. However, for some reason they leggily did not sell well and were discontinued by both companies. Suspect it was a supply/ production problem rather than sales.

Check expiration date

Julia June 16, 2022

On 6/03 I bought these from Walmart New Haven, for home delivery, as a healthier version of an old favorite. Cooked according to directions, tasted good, although a little tough. Next day GI distress. Then checked "Use by Date" 03/22/2022. That's more than 3 months ago. Come on Walmart...do better than this!

It's a no!

Michelle B April 11, 2025

Yuck! I bought these for my husband to help keep us on our calorie deficit diet. We both thought the texture was weird and they tasted like a fake liquid smoke. Our daily calorie count was extra low since we both chose to toss instead of powering thru and finishing.
