I love these as a comfort, easy meal. Great finger food that the only way to mess them up is to not follow the cooking directions. I like to dip in mustard to eat them but they don't need it. I just wish they weren't so expensive now. I used to buy them once a month. Now maybe 2-3 times a year.
Love these!!!! Just hit these at Costco and saw that Walmart had them and were get them when ever we need to make snacks! Dip them in Dijon mustard! So yummy! We already loved Hebrew National hotdogs and this is just perfect bite sized like lunch snacks!
I bought these years ago and was very disappointed because the puff pastry burned and the hot dogs were still cold. I followed the instructions to the letter. Fast forward, I decided to try them again. Much, much better! I figured that in 20 years they would have fixed the recipe and they did. These are delicious and perfect for the holidays.
These are delicious. Especial;y the pastry used. It is so light, the outside is crisp, yet a bit delicate, light. The franks are tasty and firm, not fatty, or have the flavor and texture of fillers. My spouse doesn't like biscuits, or bread, but loved these as well, even wanting me to find out exactly the kind of pasty and how to best mimic these at home. The only downside is the price!
The Hebrew National mini hotdogs in puff pastry are my absolute favorite savory snack. Flavor is great! They cook up nice and crisp in the air fryer or the toaster oven. The price is a bit more than some other hot dog products but honestly, nothing compares to the quality of Hebrew National. It's the only brand of mini dogs that I will ever buy. Hebrew National is the best brand for kosher meats.
I love these tasty snacks served as hors d'oeuvres before a Sunday football game. They're easy to make and taste great. They have a flaky wrap with a nice texture. I would recommend baking them in a regular oven, as a toaster oven cooks them too quickly.
First YUMMY - What's not to love, there's no added coloring, by products or fillers. Just Great Piggies in the Blankets. There are 2 Plastic trays with individual slots for each one. So they're not thrown in a bag together (won't get stuck together etc. I put that I don't use back in trays and wrap with plastic wrap, back in freezer. The taste is great, I feel better about feeding my family these snacks than the other ones I don't know what's in them or how they manufacture them. Hebrew National Brand shows they care.
The beef is delicious. It tastes like real beef. But, I was disappointed with the puff pastry. You have to bake it in parchment paper and spray it with cooking oil. Otherwise, it sticks and ruins the pastry when removing it from the pan. It falls apart easily because of sticking, and there's some puffing. Its not easy to keep them separated. They roll around. I want to try baking them in a cup cake pan using paper inserts and spray it with oil. Hopefully, the pastry will puff. They're absolutely delicious, though, and not fake beef. The 5 stars is for the taste!
4⭐️ Really liked these overall, especially as a time saver when you want something quick and easy without a lot of prep. The beef franks had good flavor and the puff pastry/croissant-style wrap was buttery and tasty. My only complaint is several of the pastry wraps in the box were already broken and crumbled apart because they're extremely flaky. Not a huge deal taste-wise, but presentation definitely suffered some. They are maybe a little on the pricey side for the amount you get, but overall not bad at all if you're in a pinch for time and want a quick tasty snack. %23HebrewNational %23BeefFranks %23PigsInABlanket %23QuickSnacks %23FrozenFood %23EasyMeals %23SnackTime %23ComfortFood %23AirFryerFood %23BusyDayMeals %23FoodReview %23ConvenienceFood %23FamilySnacks %23QuickBites %23buddbutler %23worldwideword %23max %23word %23thegreenone %23thefirsttimeprojectofficial
back when I first began eating and consuming this product we called them pigs in a blanket. they were delicious, the flaky croissant out side used to be delicious and the little sausages that made up the pigs with flavorful and savory. somewhere along the way companies got greedy and decided they want to replace all the original ingredients so they can beef up their profit margins and give us less value for what we pay for. having said that I'm going to tell you exactly what I think of this product. the flaky outsides are no longer flaky it's just salty dough that the pigs can slide right out of as a matter of fact that's very little of the pastry. the tiny sausages that make up the pigs and this blanket are so salty that they are not safe for human consumption. if you don't have hypertension, you will after you eat a few of these things. there's no taste to the little sausage it's 100% salty! I'm so disappointed at Hebrew national because they used to be one of the brands that top all others, and now they've joined everyone else and it shrinkflation and giving you less for your money. not only is the items smaller less tasty, it's salty and much unhealthier than years before. I should have asked for a refund from Walmart but I decided to take it as a lesson learned and to never depend on Hebrew national ever ever again. I think you shouldn't by this product either, not even four of football or basketball party. it's just a waste of money and if you do decide to buy this and serve it to your friends and family, well I believe you don't care about them as much as you think you do. this product is garbage now! tell me that I'm wrong!
