One of the best top water baits
I've been using the Heddon spook jr for decades it remains a “go to “ bait for me in certain situations when no other bait will do.

Bone color isn't fancy but simply produces
My Bone colored spook jr get lots of action. it is not as shiny as some of the other great colors but anytime the action slows down i go back to Bone to change things up. It produces more often than not.

Product needs a long overdue refresh
Disappointing quality and design. I don't understand why such a fine, historic lure company doesn't put the effort and resources to design a quality product. Similar Japanese products from Megabass and Yo-Zuri exude innovative, high performance, quality and beautiful design. Even the packaging is mediocre. Not recommended without a long overdue update.
