Hefty Kitchen Trash Can, 12 Gallon Plastic Slim Step Garbage Bin with Locking Foot Pedal Lid, Gray

I really needed this trash can in my kitchen. Now no more mess to clean up when cooking. Love the easy opening and closing of the trash can lid. The design fits much better than my old can did in the space where it sits. I love the foot pad and the self locking. Great product.

It storks perfectly. Press the pedal lid opens and closes. As it should. Just wish they made these thing with 2 pedals. One on the side, one on the edge. Good looking, keeps smells down. There's an optional lock to discourage pets. My hamster would get into everything. Changing bags is a breeze. Well worth the price.

This is perfect! It fits in the space I had and works flawlessly! It's very sturdy and doesn't feel like it's going to fall over when I step on it. Also, I love gray! Love that there was an option other than just black. Oh, and the way the bags attach around the lid hinge leaves an opening so the bag doesn't get suctioned to the inside of the bin.

I used this same trash can for the last 5 years until it recently the old one broke. Something that I like about this new trash can is that the manufacturer added instructions about how to install and replace trash bags to avoid damaging the step-on system. it is a good buy I say

Perfect trashcan for kitchen. Beautifully made. Lid design works exceptionally well. Sleek lines and a great looking necessity. First well made one I have ever had. Great buy and worth the price as it is sturdy and functions as good as it looks. Other waste cans cannot compare, as are usually not well made nor do they function.

This is a sturdy trash can. My complaint, and the reason for the 4 star rating, is that this delivered to me from another store and came with the wrong lid, which makes it unusable. Also, I couldn't return to my local store for a replacement because they did not have it in stock. I was finally able to get a refund for the purchase but it took several weeks.

I bought this to fit in a narrow space in my tiny laundry room. It fits like a glove. That said, the lid/foot pedal mechanism is pretty flimsy/weak. Maybe I did something wrong while assembling it, but I'm pretty good at following assembly instructions and these were simple instructions. Anyway, the foot pedal raises the lid some, but you'll either have to great your trash through a small opening or use your hand to lift the lid all the way, which defeats the purpose of having a foot pedal. Also, this could have been a few inches taller so it could hold 13 or more gallons. On the plus side, it's lightweight, yet tough material, easy to clean, and it looks decent for a trashcan.

I hate this trash can. I wanted something that had a flip lid and wasn't expensive. I should have just dished out the $$ for a better design. This lid is hard to secure %26 remove the way it is designed. Your trash bag covers where the can attaches to the lid. The cheap plastic on mine easily broke while trying to unhook the lid while changing the bag. Now the lid is lop-sided when it opens. If you have used the more expensive foot activated "flip lid" cans, this is like the liner can inside the fancy outer can. Hefty attached a cheap plastic lid connection to the equivalent of the liner can. If you aren't constantly needing to switch out your full trash bag for a clean bag it might be alright. It feels like Hefty really "cheaped out" on the design of this one. I wouldn't recommend it.

They sent the bottom part but the wrong lid. It was supposed to be a diaper pail/can with a foot step.to open a tightly secured lid. There was no step pedal connected and the lid was complete wrong. Poor experience now have to spend time returning it.

I do not like this trash can. We got it since it locks to keep my toddler out of it but it makes the entire house smell like trash! It's because it has holes all through it!! We will be returning, it's disgusting! I'd rather have my other trash can with no lid!!!!!
