Bought these to store winter merino wool and cashmere garments, socks, hats and scarves for the summer to keep them away from moth larva that will ruin them by eating holes in them, without the need for smelly mothballs. I simply throw in some cedar wood chips and oxygen absorbers to prevent a musty smell.

I use this to keep pet food sealed. The 2.5 gallon bag is just the right size to place the opened original bag of a medical diet food for a special needs cat. The easy close seal keeps the food fresh and safe while allowing me to access the twice daily feeding. A bag of food sealed in one of these bags lasts me about 2 months without having to be replaced.

I use these larger bags to hold bird seed and many household products s they hold a lot more thaan the one gallon size does. Even have used them to store bagels etc.

I buy these frequently for various reasons. If I make a casserole or a dessert to freeze or take elsewhere, most pans fits perfectly into these and zip up just fine. When I freeze bread or any meat, first I put it in freezer ziploc bags, squeeze out all the air, then put that in these XL bags to prevent freezer burn. And it's a good way to keep seasonal clothes ready to store, too. I even use these inside plastic storage totes to keep everything organized.
