Hefty Step-On 13-Gallon Trash Can, Black

I had one of those metal tall and skinny garbage cans and it was getting a bit rough looking (dented and the lid hinges were very dirty) and the step-open feature was broken - so I was looking to replace it with the same kind of metal can. Then I read the reviews on this one and I'm so very glad I got it. You can't beat the price and the step-open feature on this garbage can is solid and works every time. Also, another great feature is that the garbage bag fits snugly and doesn't fall down when you put garbage in the can and it's bigger in design then my old one, so it holds more garbage. Overall, this is an excellent garbage can.

I have a black-&-white kitchen, so after many years living with a slate blue kitchen garbage can, I decided it was time for a change. I started my Internet shopping by going to another big named retailer. I was shocked at their prices! $40 for a plastic kitchen garbage can!? Even one of there reviewers who bought one of those $40 cans admitted that was to much to pay for plastic. So, I headed over to the Wal*Mart site. Found this great Hefty black can with a rollback price of only $15. Great deal! For the first time, I did the "ship-to-store" process. My new can ended-up at my local Wal*Mart in just a few days. It was easy to pick-up while doing my weekly grocery shopping. I'll be using ship-to-store again... My new Hefty can is indeed a Hefty. It is very well made. Hey, my old slate blue one was a Hefty, it's over 20 years old. I cleaned it up and it looks almost new. Will be giving it to my sister who has slate blue things in her kitchen. Thanks Wal*Mart for carrying a great product at a great price!

This trashcan fully met my expectations in quality and as to how it works. Be sure to follow and read the instructions on the bottom of the lid as to how to snap the lid in place. It works! I am very pleased with this purchase and haven't been able to find it anywhere except through Walmart.

It's very roomy. Sturdy. Wide. Only that manufactures need to make bags that fit all. 13 gallon bags aren't long enough. So when you throw something in, bag detaches from the opening

This trash can is just what I needed. One wouldn't believe how long I have been looking for a trash can this size and color after getting rid of my stainless steal trash can. It serves the purpose and you can wash it out to keep from having odor, unlike the stainless steal. The price is also a good value.

Works well and looks good. Occasionally, when you step on the pedal to open the lid the can slides a little away from you. This is probably due to the fact that it's so light.

Assembly was a snap - literally ;---). We haven't yet mastered how to get the bag to stay put. (The hinge for the lid prevents placing the bag all the way around the opening.) It definitely keeps the smell in -- that's a big plus. It's a little more imposing than our previous 13 gallon can but we'll get to used to it. When we're ready for new bags, we'll buy black.

Received my first order in a box with no packing material. It was scuffed and scratcher all over. I returned it for a replacement and received the second one in a box with no packing material with scuff marks and scratches. The rest of my review is x rated.

It looked like it had already been run over by a garbage truck. No packing material around it. I refused delivery and shopped elsewhere. A waste of my time! Sales staff was helpful.

The trash can sent to me was used - it was all scratched up and you could tell by the bottom of it that it was used because it was so dirty. I sent it back to Walmart.
