Heininger 5995 58,000 BTU Portable Propane Outdoor Fire Pit

Bought this for camping trips when fire bans are in force and patio usage. Used it recently on a camping trip for 5 days. Worked as advertised and was warm on low setting and hot on high setting with a good range in between. Nice yellow flames closely approximating a real fire. Unit is small enough to be portable and worked well on patio also. I do recommend the lid/carry handle but, buy from maker as it's about $20.00 cheaper. A five gallon propane bottle lasted for about two and a half days, using about 2-3 hours in the evening and about 1.5-2 hours early mornings.

This is the perfect Fire Pit for those of us who love to go "glamping". We purchased a new 5th wheel and camp in comfort. We used the fire pit on our last trip and enjoyed it so much. Easy to operate, looks great and really puts out the heat. Highly reccommend it.

I live in an apartment complex and this pit is convienient for my campfire fix. My grandkids love it for roasting marshmellows and hotdogs. and when i sbut it down it cools in 15 min. Tbe only improvement would be a clamp on dome cover to keep tbe eleme.ts out and for carring tbe pit.

during fire restrictions in the Arizona forest region, we even made smores! This little unit puts out a nice amount of heat and realistic like campfire flames. We even had someone come by our camp because they though we had a campfire, during the campfire restrictions. We have used this unit only once during a weekend camping trip, but it performed great while it was on for hours. No problems turning on or off numerous times. It is very easy to set-up and ignite, small, contained, and portable. We will definitely be using again, if we cannot have an actual campfire.

Great buy. Works great, easily set up, can't wait to take it camping. I love a camp fire, but I hate the work and the smell of smoke. This should be a great substitute as it really throws out the heat

Easy to set up, ample heat and ambiance even at a low flame, light and portable to store, I was beyond pleased, it has become a centerpiece for evening conversations.

This puts out great instant heat but it was smaller than I thought it was. It came with a coupon to order a travel cover for it but I thought it should have came with it.

Out of the ones I looked at, this one by far has the most realistic looking fire. Gives off a good deal of heat too

Works as advertised. Best part, can be used in most camping areas where campfires are prohibited. Different sized rocks produced interesting flames. Could use a locking cover for storage & transport.
