It does help me not to slouch. I also use it when doing yoga, and it works great
Have been using this cream for over a year and have found that it is a product that really works for me.
I guess I need more support, meaning stronger construction material and better hooking devices, to straighten my back. I did some modifications to the vest to stop it from streching and curling under my breasts, and I am still wearing. But it didn't deliver the expected results.
Update: I noticed that straps got very loose that I had to pull them up very often so I had to stop using it (it is not your fault, just it's a bad item for me to wear as long as I would like to wear.)
I got this for my mother and she can not use it due to the buckles on the straps being right under her arm pits and this was over a shirt.
