Henckels Classic 7-pc Self-Sharpening Knife Block Set - Black

I have worked in kitchens before and I am currently enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America. I can safely say that this is the best set of knives I have ever purchased. So much so that I recommended ZWILLING to my father and he got a set for himself. Properly shaped handle, durable blade, and stores nicely; everything one needs.

The knives feel good in the hand, and they are very sharp. I'm sure of the quality. The self sharpening block, I'm less sure of. Maybe it works very well, but I need more time to know. Thank you

I've been using this knife set for a little while now and I'm really impressed with the overall quality. The knives feel well-balanced in hand, and the weight is just right, not too heavy, but still sturdy and controlled.

My wife and I purchased our Professional S block in 1993 while stationed in Germany. These knives have made many moves over the years and have been used in just about every meal prep for all these years. There is not one blade out of the set with a single stain. The blades are super sharp and easily kept that way. Our set literally looks brand new! We've added a couple Professional S knives to our block over the years and never considered any other knife for our kitchen. We give these sets as wedding gifts now, knowing the longevity and value of the Professional S is superb.

I love my new knives. My grandson is a line chef, when he comes to dinner he does all the carving. He was impressed at the quality of the knife and how well balanced they are. The only thing he doesn't like is the self sharpening feature. Said that would ruin the tips of the knives.

I decided to get a matched set, and the self-sharpening feature was especially appealing. I would absolutely recommend this set for any cook or chef . . . a sharp knife makes the job so much easier!

However, I will say the handles took some time to get used to. Because it does not offer a curved grip, it does dig into my hands a bit

I could not wait to receive my 7 Piece set with Self Sharpening Block. I used it immediately after I opened it and was not disappointed. The knives are all easy to handle, cut precisely and are well made. The sharpening block is really nice, and visually stunning in appearance. This is the best knives I have purchased even though it is a starter kit for me after upgrading from brands of a lower price range.. I have encountered seeing these knives in a few of my friends homes and admired them so much that I chose to order a set for myself. I find these knives to be sturdy, and have an elegant look to them. I would recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade from casual knives to a professional set of knives. The knives are streamline and easy to clean. These knives would complement any set of stainless steel silverware set.
