My wife and I both did a lot of research on kitchen knives and Henckels consistently appeared as some of the best. My wife surprised me with this set for Christmas. I love how the set includes a description of each knife and how to properly use them! I am learning which knives are for what and how to properly use them! Those have definitely become my go-to choices when cooking for my family!! The knife block and sharpening steel are very nice to have as well and just adds more value to the set! We wanted to upgrade our knifes and I will tell you that these are super sharp and hold their edge. I expect to get at least 15+ years of this set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good looking knife set. Seem sharp right out of the box. I like the fact I can add to the base set when I am ready. Steak knives have slightly sharp edges on handle that should round off after first few uses.

Opening the box, I found all the knives individually wrapped and cared for, which shows that the company has good quality control. All the knives are razor sharp and feel very sturdy. The balance on them is outstanding, and I fell like I could be comfortable cutting food for hours. The block is very sturdy as well, is very heavy too, which is good. And I like that it comes with plenty of extra storage too. I plan to fill it up too!
