Henckels Forged Synergy 8-inch Chef's Knife

The Forged Synergy 8" Chef's knife has everything I look for in a quality knife, with a nice affordable price tag. Looks and feels like a knife twice the price. Composed from one single piece of German steel, forged bolster, and full tang. The knife is well balanced and weighted. My go to knife. So comfortable, sharp and easy to maintain.

I was in the market for a new chef's knife and I am so glad to have found this one! I love that the design includes metal that runs through the handle. The width of the the blade is great that makes it easy to smash things like garlic and it has a greater curve that makes rocking the blade while chopping very easy.

This knife is great , very sharp , weight and size is nice , good price , cuts many items effortlessly , perfect for Garde manger , ( my job ) ! But the thick hard shrink wrap packaging was a bit too much and I cut myself just trying to get it out of the tough package , would have been better

The 8-inch chef's knife is the anchor to a set of knives. It should be the knife you turn to for most of your cooking needs. Therefore, you always want to have a chef's knife that feels good to your hand. The Forged Synergy line is an elegant line of forged medium-weight knives. The graceful sculpted handles fit snugly in the palm of the hand; and an integrated bolster that makes these knives comfortable to grip. The double-riveted handles securely encase the full tang blade. These knives are forged from high quality German stainless steel and manufactured to the highest global standards. That means these knives are sharp and can resharpened again and again giving you years of enjoyment. High quality at a great price. Really good value. Although they are dishwasher safe, I recommend hand washing them. They will retain the ‘just purchased' look.

An 8" chef knife is a work horse and can do 90% of your cutting. The fine edge blade is forged from German steel which will give you a sharp knife that will hold its edge really well. Great weight and balance means less fatigue when chopping for long periods of time.

This is a great forged knife with a value price. It's made from German stainless steel so it corrosion resistant and capable of keeping a sharp cutting edge. The forged bolster extends down the back of the handle for an attractive and sturdy appeal.

Great value for an 8" chef knife made of quality German steel and with a forged bolster. The forged bolster adds balance to the knife and the and the handle is comfortable in your hand and is very stylish. Durable, sharp and stylish!! These make great gifts too.

It's a good knife, but a bit heavy. Specifically, the handle is heavy, possibly because it's partly steel, that extends from the blade. It seems to be designed that way. I would prefer a lighter one. One ordering note, there was no chance to cancel the order, even right after placing it.
