It says sodium free and I guess it tastes a bit like chicken? It's great for throwing whatever works everything in to something that can be eaten. I mean sodium is cool and all but I've always heard low to no sodium is just way to awesome to pass up. This item, to me, still tastes like it has salt in it, but it doesn't. How cool is that!? Also, if you love Ramen noodles and you seriously can't help but to eat them all the time, use these instead. Just google what you can put in to ramen otherwise, look at some examples, and just know that the noods don't need to be eaten alone. Spices and veggies of all typed and even hardboiled eggs can be added. Don't be crood by only having the nood.
This chicken bouillon is great to have on hand. It taste great and is sodium free. It's also easy to travel with. I throw it in my purse and I take it to work to replace a cup of coffee or tea and also you could mix in small cooked pasta to make a tasty quick soup. This is a must try.
As a couple that simply does not like salt in our food, finding the no sodium chicken Boullion was very welcome. I'd prefer cubes so I can break into two for smaller uses, but the packets are easy enough to use. But without measuring the powder, I can't easily create half size uses. The taste of this bouillon is little to no different than standard bouillon.
Love this product and have been using it for years. Would love have it carried in the stores! For some reason it’s not on the shelf anymore and it was delivered to me.
This item is perfect for those on a sodium restriction. Zero sodium. Still has the bouillon taste (though of course salt free will never be as good as the regular). I'm grateful it's available. Fast shipping. Arrived in great condition.
It’s a good product to keep on hand for quick meals or slow cooking. It adds a down home flavor to almost any meal. It took my gumbo to a top level. Perfect every time! Love it for greens, gravies , pastas and sauces without added sodium.
It's very difficult to find low/reduced sodium foods and even harder to find NO sodium added foods, so finding this was wonderful! don't expect it to taste like the bouillon that we're used to as it's mainly salt, so that makes sense and taste buds adjust (especially when they have to due to diet restrictions!) :) I'm really happy to have this product to use.
You taste the chicken more without all the sodium. Bouillon has always been a tasty and fast way to curb hunger between meals. I love using three packets, some frozen peas, a can of water chestnuts, ginger, garlic and slowly drop in a beaten egg for a fast, easy and low cal soup.
I have been making a LOT of soups , stews, etc.. that I need to give a flavor to without added sodium and this is great for that and also just for sipping out of a cup if you feel kind of sick. Herbox has always been my go to seasoning for making chicken soup just to give it an added flavor boost. I like the packets better than the cubes as it's easy to measure with no mess of opening that cube. I would have given 5 stars but the price has risen and my boxes arrived all smashed up and open and I was actually ready to return them but decided to keep them as the next ones will arrive damaged the same as these did, So why bother. The packets were intact , I will just pray they were not tampered with in anyway .
I haven't used this item yet, but note there are only 8 packets in a box. That's $1.00 a packet. Plus the soft paper container with packets was completely crushed, so it will be hard to store. Walmart needs to improve their shipping packages and packing methods.
