I usually put liquid extracts under my tongue, hold for a brief time, then swallow for best absorption. You can't do that with this one because it will actually burn. It is best mixed with some liquid or herbal tea. It is the most potent kava I've used in over 20 years of taking various kava products. It really calms anxious and irritable thoughts very effectively. Doesn't cause drowsiness or make you tired, but has a pronounced mellowing effect. Wonderful product.

I bought this because of the benefits I read online about it. I have severe anxiety and occasional panick attacks so everything from nature that is supposed to help with that, I am taking it. This was new to me and gave my tongue a tingly sleepy feeling. I believe I need more time taking this to notice more differences but so far so good.

I've tried various powdered capsules and other tincture brands and this is by far the most efficient brand if swift relief and sweet sleep is what you're looking for. If held under the tongue for a short period of time the kavalactones will rapidly absorb into the bloodstream and leave a numb tongue - a great indicator of potency and effectiveness. Compared to traditional tea preparation which takes a bit of work and takes 15 to 30 minutes to begin providing the desired relief, this extract works well for individuals suffering from quick and debilitating panic attacks from which a rapid solution is desired.

Have heard a lot of god things about kava so decided to give it a try. Didn't seem to have any acute or noticeable effects for me, but that may just be a personal issue. I know herb pharm has always delivered quality products so perhaps just not the herb for me

I've been trying several different tinctures for anxiety. The Kava seems to take the edge off my anxiety, but makes me feel a little groggier than the others I've tried (Lemon Balm and Passion Flower). I normally put liquid supplements directly under my tongue, but I usually mix this one with water to make it more palatable.

I've tried several Kava Kava supplements and this one is of the best quality (though, doesn't have the same benefits brewing your Kava from the root) I've found so far. I've tried several extracts and this was the strongest, in terms of improving mood and "social energy". Decently anxiolytic with just 2-3mL (2-3 full droppers), and a slower burn if taken after food.

I'm not a one that complains about size of pills or taste but this tastes truly terrible. e.g. washing liquid. I'm not 100% that this works. I switched to this from CBD oil which I'd take 2 droppers morning/evening and would feel calm. You have to doze several times with this apparently. I didn't feel much with 1 dose. I'd feel it with CBD. Not sure if this works.

I've been drinking Yogi Kava tea for a couple of years and it seems to help me fall asleep, but it could be a placebo effect. Since the tea is expensive I decided to try a kava supplement instead. Herb Pharm Kava is rather nasty tasting and I felt no effect from it at all. Even when I took double or triple the recommended dose, I couldn't tell I'd taken anything. It just didn't work for me. After 5 nights of trying, I'll probably toss the rest into the trash.
