HERDEZ Chunky Salsa Mild, Tortilla Chip Dip, Shelf Stable, 15 oz Glass Jar

I loved it!! Consistency isn't too chunky but isn't paste/thick either. People fect for chip dip. Great flavor. Mild, not overly spicy but doesn't just taste like tomato paste like some brands do. Will buy again for parties and get together. Price is great for the size.

I was able to try the Herdez chunky salsa for free through BzzAgent. My family loves the Herdez Taqueria Street Sauce, but we haven't tried their other products. I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to try their salsa. The salsa is definitely chunky and has the right amount of onion, pepper, and tomato chunks that give it a great mouth feel. The taste was also great. I tried their other products medium version and thee was actually a bit of kick to it. The salsa is a great snack, and even better with a side of tacos. I almost ate the whole jar of salsa in one sitting, I couldn't get enough! I will buying the Herdez chunky salsa again and sharing it with my family.

I made taco salad one night for dinner and I purchased this jar of the Herdez Chunky Salsa in the mild flavor. Normally I get the medium or hot flavor but because I was having friends over and I know they do not particularly like hot salsas I bought the mild this time. The flavor was really good, the size of the tomatoes chucks were a perfect size and the heat level though not as hot as I normally get, was very tasty and everyone including me enjoyed it. I would definately purchase this brand and heat again.

Thanks Herdez for the free salsa! After spending a few years in south Texas, my family really enjoys Authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex style foods and we have them for dinner at least twice a week. After trying Herdez Mild Chunky Salsa this is going to be our new go-to salsa. We just loved the flavor! Our family found this salsa to be a little spicy for the mild kind, but we really liked the extra heat. If you are unaccustomed to spicy foods, or offering this to younger children the spice level might be a little more like a medium than mild. We liked that it was thick and chunky and holds up on a tortilla chip well. Compared to other tomato based salsas we've had previously, we noticed that there was more green pepper and onion which we found really enhanced the flavor. Overall, it's delicious and we'll be purchasing it more!

I received a coupon to receive a free jar of Herdez salsa or queso dip in exchange for writing an honest review. I chose to get the Herdez Queso Blanco Dip Medium. The dip was creamy and can either be heated up or eaten cold. Both ways were delicious! The medium flavor had a nice spice to it without being too spicy. This dip is versatile and is great with tortilla chips or on tacos.

Thanks to Herdez for the free product! Fresh tasting with nice vegetable chunks. Nice consistency and spice. I really enjoyed it. For me, the only drawback was a somewhat sticky aftertaste or something. From the ingredients there is something added for thickness and maybe that's what I noticed. There were no bioengineered ingredients included as listed on another brand.

Okay, I was a little hesitant because I am such a salsa lover but this actually was a sleeper hit! At first I was like ew too sweet too watery too chunky, but then after about half an hour of watching the World Cup I found myself wanting another chip and another bowl of salsa! It tasted so refreshing and light and wasn't spicy but had just a tiny bit of heat so that the flavors are subtle. I really enjoyed it and my family did too. I still think a bit about a black bean and corn salsa or a verde, but this will be a rebuy! (I got this product free for the review!)

As a verified "spice wuss", I asked for and received the mild chunky salsa from BzzAgent to sample. Enjoyed it tonight on tacos. Fresh and delicious with a hint of heat, just like I like it! And even if I hadn't received this free, the price was very affordable so we'll be adding this Herdez to our grocery runs!

I have tried many salsas from the grocery store and most are average at best. Most do not capture same quality as the ones served at a restaurant. However, the HERDEZ Chunky Salsa Mild absolutely tastes like the salsa served at my favorite Mexican restaurant! It tastes like it was freshly made! I love a chunky salsa to experience the different vegetables and this salsa did not disappoint! It was good with tortilla chips and served with my eggs!! I highly recommend this salsa!!

I bought this expecting salsa with actual chunks, but apparently HERDEZ and I have very different definitions of the word "chunky." This is basically tomato juice that got invited to a salsa party and showed up with three diced veggies as proof it belonged. Flavor? Surprisingly good. Price? Totally fair. Texture? Missing in action. I'Il be auditioning a new brand next time.
