HERDEZ Salsa Ranchera Medium, Shelf Stable, 7 oz Steel Can

Having never tried any products from Herdez before, I was so excited to give this salsa ranchera a try. Now when I try a new product of this nature, I like to first give it a try with something that will not overpower the flavor (i.e. tortilla chip) and really get a full taste of the sauce. The consistency of this salsa ranchera was nice and thick which I prefer in a sauce/salsa. From the minute this salsa hit my tongue, I could taste the intense heat which was an unexpected but delightful surprise. This salsa is much more comparable to a hot than a medium sauce/salsa, but I absolutely loved it! I like sauces the hotter, the better, so this was just the perfect spice level for me. I enjoyed this salsa with tortilla chips but think it would compliment a number of Mexican dishes such as fajitas or burritos (or whatever your favorite Mexican dish may be). This salsa has all of the flavors I and my family like. I really like the the size and that it comes in a ca, means I can buy and store it longer. The quality of its texture and flavor are spot on. I am extremely impressed with this canned salsa and my daughter really loves this one with chips. This salsa really adds flavor to our Mexican food. I think this will replace our other jarred salsas. I added Salsa Ranchera medium sauce to my usual enchilada recipe and it was amazing! It added a nice deep flavor and a spicy kick that was not overwhelming at all. Once this can was opened, I was nonstop eating with my chips. Very flavorful and oh so yummy. Pulled it out the next day to enjoy more and I could not eat it. I've tried several Herdez salsas and while many are good, this Medium Salsa Ranchera is by far the best! I love the fresh, spicy flavor, the texture is just right, not watery or overly chunky. The Salsa Ranchera from Herdez has a really good smell to it and a good texture once mixed up. The heat was a slow building heat that hit you in the back of the throat, but wasn't so strong you couldn't enjoy it. This was the second favorite of the samples received free from BzzAgent.
