Great movie like other the other ones by A24
Some people don't understand the evening but it all ties together. It's very similar to other movies by A24. It is a very disturbing movie. Not many jump scares if any that I remember. Nothing that graphic as in bloody but disturbing. King of like Smile or Sinister.

Great horror movie
If you like movies like Midsommer or The Witch then you'll love Hereditary. There's some crazy moments that may stay with you long after the movie ends. The soundtrack is good too.

Leave it up to The Academy to exclude Toni Collette from the Best Actress category. She deserved at least to be nominated. She was brilliant in this.

Read below
Bought for my daughter and I have not seen it yet. She claims it's great. I have yet to confirm. Taste varies and I'm still trying to figure out if she has any.

Good actors and keeps you guessing...
Good actors and it keeps you guessing, which is my kind of movie. There is some flash nudity regarding pagan images but it's very quick and hardly noticeable. Keeps you in suspense to the end...when all is revealed.

A bit slow

Hereditary dvd
Pretty intense. Those that can handle dark occult movies should like it. I just can't watch them like I used to. Some are too dark.

slow, not scary
I wish I had read the reviews giving Hereditary a 1, because they were correct, and I never would have bought it. I enjoy Horror movies, but not this slow moving story, which also resorted to overused cliche horror movie movements by one character near the end.
