I've been using Herman Survivors mink oil for years. Superior polish, water %26 oil protector. I always wear high dollar work boots on the job and this product is top-notch. I condition my boots 3-4 times yearly and I'm always impressed with it's performance. no need for high dollar leather boot and shoe polish, this one works very well! Great price too! Strongly suggest.
I've tried a few different leather conditioners over the years, but Herman Survivors Mink Oil has officially earned a permanent spot in my gear kit. I used it on my work boots that were starting to look dry and scuffed after a tough winter, and within minutes, they looked nearly new again. The oil goes on smoothly and absorbs well without leaving a sticky or greasy residue. It gives the leather a rich, conditioned look while helping to repel water and keep it supple—a must if you're outside in rough conditions like I am. I also used it on an old leather belt and a pair of gloves with great results. Bonus: the smell is subtle and clean—not overpowering like some leather products. If you've got boots, gloves, or any leather gear that needs some TLC, Herman Survivors Mink Oil is the real deal. Affordable, effective, and easy to apply. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to protect and preserve their leather.
I'm Military. This is great stuff. A lot of other brands are full of “filler” this is the opposite. When you see original shoe/boot coloring on your rag, that's the oil getting into the pores. This is not expensive and the ones charging 10-15 dollars a can should be ashamed of themselves
This product was worth every penny and worked way better than I expected. The boots looked like brand new with every scratch and scuff blended out of sight while it left a beautiful shine. I'm inspired by the challenge to find other things to use it for now and will definitely buy it again!

I also use it on my leather purses and the leather feel softer and repels wate i use this on my leather shoes and they keep the leather looking great. I also use it on my leather purses and the leather feel softer and repels water application is easy. I highly recommend. application is easy. I highly recommend.
Can't believe how this mink oil restored my old leather Coach bag and leather jackets. Prior purchasing, thought I had to throw away it couldn't be restored. It's so hard to get good quality leather these days. Very pleased with this product. Well worth the price.
The product is great. Colorless conditioner (have not tried wearing treated boots in the rain) goes on smoothly. However, the tin can it comes in, is incredibly hard to open. I had to get a knife to pry the lid off. Please improve access to the product.
This looks good on my boots. It does help with waterproofing. It does make your boots or leather a couple shades of darker. after reading the ingredients I will be making my own waterproofing mixture using Tallow and beeswax. I will continue to use this until the container is gone. I put it on with my fingers very lightly two coats like I was greasing a potato then I wiped them down. I put them on a boot dryer in between each coat and before each application.
Prpduct confains various ingredients including tallow fatty acid, microcrysralline wax, hydrotreated alkanes, mineral oil, lubricating petroleum oils, plus 2 more "oils" before listing mink oil. It darkened the leather on Speary topsider shoes. I would not recommend. Look for better brands of Mink Oil products.
This mink oil almost RUINED my $200 Blundstones. I had used this to waterproof them and it left behind this nasty film that I could NOT get off. I researched for a while and settled on the Bickmore saddle soap and Bick 4 conditioner, which SAVED my boots!! These are the results!!!! Before and after!
