Hero Cosmetics Rescue Balm +Red Correct, 15ml

I used to love this product, and I should have looked into the new formula before choosing that option when I purchased it, because now I have a product it's too late to return and that I have just had to throw in the trash. But this balm used to be able to be used like a lightweight foundation, almost, and now it's very yellow-hued and looks like crap, has no opacity, and beyond that doesn't even seem to soothe and calm the skin the way the old formula did. So please, do yourself a favor and do what I'm doing now: just log onto eBay and buy the old formula. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I normally use the untinted balm, especially after picking or popping pimples when I know I shouldn't. and I liked the untinted balm. but this one is unbelievably good! it's basically a medicated concealer - it heals my popped pimples quickly and effectively, while also acting like a full concealer! the old balm would be obviously white and not blend naturally, but this one looks like my actual skin. I am so happy with this product! a must buy if you get acne or pick at your skin

I'm a red head with rosacea, and permanent redness from broken capillaries etc. I can't wear cover up, ALL of them give me acne. Doesn't matter if it's “for sensitive skin” “derm tested” … I can't wear cover up. I also have issue with ingredients from sunscreens! It has to be reef safe, nano free kind, so mineral only. ANYWHO. My young niece has redness like me and introduced me to this product, and let me tell you, it's been a life saver for me. As long as my skin is well moisturized I can dab this on, a little goes a long way. It's an instant blur! I love it for when I have flare ups. I'm 53 so I have some wrinkles and fine lines now, and it even blurs them! If you're like me, red, sensitive and looking for just a lil touch up, this is your go to!

This is a product that has recently been discontinued, that I have relied on for years. I was able to find it for far less than some opportunistic sites were charging for it, and I could stock up until I am able to find a replacement.

The original product was fantastic for my redness prone skin and provided great coverage. But this new formula is so disappointing and it immediately irritated my skin. It provides little to no redness coverage, felt really sticky, and kind of just made me look shiny and sweaty instead of how the original formula looked. I now have to find a different product that will work the same way the old version did. I do not recommend this new version at all!

Hero Rescue Balm has been a great addition to my skincare routine. It helps reduce the appearance of redness and post-acne marks while keeping my skin moisturized without feeling greasy. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly, layers well under sunscreen or makeup, and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Although it doesn't make acne marks disappear overnight, with consistent use my skin looks calmer and more even.

The product works great but the price is way too high

The original formula worked beautifully; smooth application and mild, but effective, redness coverage. It also was long lasting. The first "improvement" had virtually no actual redness coverage. I haven't tried the second "improvement" and don't plan to. I just don't get why Hero changed the original formula.

I didn't realize they'd changed the formula and am so disappointed by this new (worse) version. I just checked and my original tube says it was made in Korea (known for making great skincare products), the new one says it's made in the US. The new one is sticky even hours after applying, doesn't blend in as well and doesn't correct red coloring as well. Such a bummer!
