Herschel Novel Duffel One Size Gargoyle

I bought this bag for my husband. It seems sturdy, like it will see us through many years of weekend getaways. We especially like the light colored lining; it's so much easier to find what you're looking for.

Loved it! Got it for my bf for one of his christmas gifts! Most definitely recommend!

I bought this duffle for a ten day trip to Africa because I needed soft-shell luggage. It complemented my 28L backpack and fit enough clothing for me to only need to do laundry once and ensure I had room for the things I bought while I was there. I would definitely recommend!

I purchased this product 3 years ago and have found to be of great use for a wide range of occasions - from daily travel to and from work to a personal 7 day trip abroad. The look of the bag adheres to both personal and professional looks, and the quality has held up over time. Would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality, great looking duffle bag.

I've been a fan of Herschel for many years but this purchase let me down, they seem to be cutting corners. I purchase the novel duffel and upon its arrival the first thing I noticed was there is no internal pocket as shown in pics and video, the second was that there is no shoulder strap pad! Some show it in pics others do not? Any bag this big needs one or the nylon shoulder strap cuts into your shoulder and is uncomfortable. I sent them an email asking about this but got no reply. You let me down Hershel!

Received this product as a gift about 5 years ago. The bag is falling apart now and I use the bag frequently but not that much. Warranty Department said it was "normal wear and tear" so there you have it, the company even says it will fall apart in 5 years. I think Norstrom will replace it though because they stand behind the products they sell.

Bought the camo and the grey colour bags. Both are very different in person to the pictures on the website. Camo colour was alot more very green where the picture was not. Grey looked very washed out. Bag itself seems very good but not happy that they dont have any real life pictures of the other colours.

Bought the novel duffel because the Sutton bag I just bought was not comfortable to travel with due to shoulder strap digging in, Novel came and there was no strap pad on it ether, nor was there the Internal pocket? Turns out if you buy from the eco line it does not come with ether of these like the normal bag does for the same cost! A bag this big needs a shoulder strap pad! I will be returning, seems like Herschel is really slipping n it's quality and cutting corners.

Do yourself a favor and buy a third party shoulder strap with metal clips. I took this bag on my very first international trip. While boarding my first flight, I picked the bag up off the floor of the terminal, and the shoulder strap immediately broke. I had to carry it though the airport by the canvas handles for the rest of the trip.

Honestly, I'm disappointed with my duffel bag. The pho leather is already showing signs of wear and is peeling in spots. Also, the bag just doesn't open as wide as I had hoped making it difficult to get items in and out of it. Unlike like past Herschel purchases, I wouldn't purchase this again.
