XL backpack great for school & travel. Bought for son to take to college - has a good size padded laptop sleeve, front pocket storage - he's super happy with it. Personally, I prefer the Pop Quiz style because it has a little easy access hidden pocket for personal items like glasses or whatever. Both are excellent quality.

Great backpack! I recently moved to New Orleans, and this backpack has saved me a few times during a downpour. It isn't 100% waterproof when it's pouring, but it will definitely keep your stuff dry in regular rain. It has a laptop sleeve and lots of room for textbooks, notebooks, etc. Big but not bulky.

i bought this backpack my freshman year of college (currently a senior) and have been wearing it ever since then. i had the unfortunate luck recently of getting into a car accident in which i had my backpack with me and I had set it next to the officers car while i was waiting for the tow truck to come. upon its arrival, the officer had to move his car to get more in line with the truck, forgetting that my bag was there. i had my computer, nintendo switch, among various other FRAGILE items. once i was done crying over the possibility that everything in my bag was ruined, i went to check and to my amazement! nothing was harmed! everything was perfectly fine and the only thing that was “ “harmed” was my bag that now proudly wears a tire mark on the backside and straps. this bag saved my college career and animal crossing village from a fatal death. long story short, this bag rocks, highly recommend!!!!

This backpack is very durable and has a luxurious feel. It has one large pocket with a computer section and and smaller section on the front. Fits all of my textbooks and notebooks perfectly with room to spare. The water bottle compartment is the perfect size for a regular Hydroflask. The only downside was that the bag was wrinkled out of the bag due to shipping and it took some effort to make it look like it's original shape again. It is perfect for school.

I've never owned or used a backpack before purchasing the one I have from Herschel, due to a recommendation from my chiropractor. While I'm still getting used to using it and to its minor inconveniences (e.g., having to take it off to access doggie poop bags), the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. This is a very comfortable and well-designed product and reasonaby priced.

I bought this more than 3 months ago and I use it everyday. The shoulder is very comfortable even I load heavy books inside. I never really try the water proof. It should be good with drizzling, but I'm not sure about heavy rain as I've never tried yet so cannot tell. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. Definitely recommend!

When I first purchased the backpack was concerned that it would be too big. Once I took the backpack out the package and tried it on, it was the perfect size. I'm so glad I went with this one over the Standard. Do believe the standard would have been a little too small. The XL can fit all my essentials for school including my MacBook Pro as well as gym clothes. This backpack has become a staple backpack even during school breaks. I've taken it on a couple of trips as well and it's been the perfect asset. I've had it for about 7 months now and haven't had an issue at all so I'd say it's pretty durable!

It's great quality bag; function wise have plenty of space and back pocket for iPads. Water storage on sides is a plus. The best thing is durability and when kids are using it's a plus. Other book bags don't even last a year and the Hershel bags lasted two years plus ( by then my kids wanted a change otherwise it is still is great condition. I usually buy during sale so it's a great price.

The backpack is well made, using quality materials. It has a little less capacity than we were hoping, due to the design, and the side-pocket does not expand sufficiently to allow a water bottle to be carried. Other than that, we're very happy with the product. Delivery was quick, and the product was well packed.
