This is the good stuff. The real deal. I've tried the generic, the sugar free, the Hershey 5, and others, but they all pale in comparison. The Special Dark flavor has some value, but for real, chocolate syrup, it's tough to beat Hershey's. Even Ghirardelli has a hard time competing.
There's no substitute for Hershey's chocolate syrup. I remember the days when the syrup only came in cans, and my mother always had one sitting in the refrigerator. It's wonderful on ice cream and makes the best chocolate milk. I won't buy any other brand.
I have two kids who drink chocolate milk every morning. One of my kids like to actually warm it up and add some creamer to it. I actually have three or four if you count to my husband and myself. I guess we’re big kids too. Nice and chocolatey nice and smooth taste. Delicious.
i think it is very good. surprisingly i seem to like it better, now, than ever before, after using in my whole life. i seem to run through it faster, now, than before. as far as i can remember, despite run-away-inflation, the price is about the same as it always has been, though i did hear that the cost of chocolate products is expected to go up due, to a supply-shortage of cocoa.
I bought the chocolate syrup for my smoothies, but I've only used it once because today I made one with all fruit and there was no need for chocolate, but I liked it. It was good.
This is my go to for chocolate milk for my children. This syrup has a great tase and worth the money. I will not get anything else for chocolate milk.
Ice cream season is coming and nothing is better that a chocolate sundae! Hershey's is the best out there and the price is competitive. We've been eating chocolate sundaes and making chocolate syrup brownies for decades!
A little pricy, double everyone else. Yes, it's a little richer than the others, but I only purchased this because they were out of the store brand. Yes, I like it, but the price usually hinders me from buying this product.
i use this in a drink I make with diet cola, whole milk, some coffee, sweetener, and chocolate syrup. I call it a Bobachinno. Warm, cold, or iced. The mocha chocolate flavor with a little fizz is good.
Hershey's syrup is good, but let me tell you a secret. The Great Value brand is just as good, and is significantly cheaper. Hershey's is a bit thicker than Great Value, if that matters, but is probably not worth the extra money, especially given today's economy (May 2026). The two brands don't even taste different, and both get slightly thicker if you refrigerate them, but they don't really need refrigeration after opening. The best use for chocolate syrup is over ice cream, and if your ice cream is frozen too solid, putting a little syrup (of any kind) on it will cause it to melt a little faster than ice cream without syrup on it.
