This little surprise bin was a fun quick little toy. Definitely has small pieces, so they rapidly went missing because my son is all over the place. He enjoyed opening it and was really excited with all the little surprises inside. I believe he had to put some stuff together to make something (but again, he lost the pieces very quickly).

The idea of this.. I love it. The pieces are actually in little garbage bags and there's extras in there too like a little mouse and and other garbage items. I took away a star just because some pieces didn't really fit together well but I still think it's pretty great.

Said I'm description of the battery pack and didn't include on. Which is the major reason this was the larger price package. I paid for deluxe and received a basic set. Wouldn't recommend this until they fix

It's to smart be so pricey

Comes with a lot of little pieces to put together. Has instructions on how to put it together but while playing they fall off. My son still liked the toy . You're able to put different parts together and play with it like that. I wouldn't get him another one for him though.

This Junk Bot toy is a small building set with about 25 pieces. It is really fun to inbox it and I liked that there were a couple mini black garbage bags with a few items in them making it look more like a garbage can- minus the germs and smell. My 13 and 11 year old boys lost interest before it was built because the pieces were not staying in well and some of the pictures on the instructions didn't line up with the included parts. I finished it up for them and they were right. They don't have that nice secure fit that most modern building toys have. The novelty of the toy is fun. The design needs improved. It looks cute all together and stores well in the can with the rubber chain to keep the lid down.

My son asked to get these and because of the five plus rating age group I got them. Unfortunately, I will not be getting anymore. These are extremely tiny and hard to keep track of. The trash bin they come in is very flimsy and the lid does not stay. I absolutely disagree with the five and older age rating. This should be 10 and up minimum. It creates a little alien and he like that but it took quite a bit of work especially with adult fingers and he was not able to put it together himself. I think it would be a cute collector's thing again for older children.

I really wanted to like this toy and thought my 6-year-old grandson would, too. And even though it is very cute, has several pieces included, and the garbage bin container was a hit with him, the robot itself was not fun to play with. First, it is really hard to get the parts to attach and even when that is done, they fall off constantly while playing with it or while trying to get another part attached/reattached. They don't "snap" in securely because they don't go far enough into the "hole." They are ball and socket type attachments which allows them to rotate somewhat but I think the material (a more rubbery plastic than a hard plastic) doesn't make for a tight enough fit. Whatever the reason for the parts falling off easily, it doesn't make it much fun to play with. My grandson tried to be positive about it, saying it was still cute and since it was a "junk" bot packed in a garbage can, maybe it was supposed to always be coming apart (and that's why it was a "thrown away in the garbage" design). He insisted I give it 2 Stars, not 1, but he actually only played with it for about 5 minutes and he absolutely loves action figure toys. He spent a bit more time playing with the skateboard that came with it and the plastic chain (which he liked a lot), but used them with other figures he already had instead of the junkbot robot. I do not recommend this particular Hexbug brand item, it is not fun like other items they make.

With so many small parts a child can swallow, I don't see how this is suitable for children under 5. If your kid loves putting things together then by golly these toys are for them! It seems that if you have multiple boxes of these, you can mix and match parts - think mr. Potatoe head. The connections are either too loose or too tight, rarely a Goldilocks fit. The instructions are just enough to help you figure out the basic setup. The pieces were inside their own little black trash bags inside the box. I thought it was adorable. The random food containers are an unexpected bonus.
