Lives up to its promises! I almost exclusively use this wok for all my cooking!
Great addition to my kitchen!
Good cookware, I like that it is nonstick and can use stainless-steel utensils. Performs as expected and advertised. I will build on my HexClad cookware. The only drawback for me is that it is heavy and somewhat difficult for me to manage one-handed (I'm a petite older female) Over all deserves a five-star rating.
It's excellent. (I just used it a couple times, though. I will update my review in 3 months, and 1 year.) My first impression, very heavy, heats very evenly. Very nice. Be SURE to only use wood utensils!!! I tested a small patch of the outside with metal utensils and it scratched easily. So, maybe I'd take a star or two off, if I used metal utensils. However, I only ever use wood, so it's a non-issue for me;)
I have other Woks, but this one is the go-to Wok; it is very easy to clean and dishwasher-safe. I love it and recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent Wok.
So far we have had this Wok for over a month and we have been really happy with it. FYI, it's semi nonstick which we were aware of before getting it. If you use a little oil when cooking you will be fine. It's been easy to clean. We love cooking with it. This is only our opinion. We like it so far. We use it a lot. Personally happy with our purchase. But definitely do your research and keep expectations reasonable. Every cookware is different.
I ordered 3 of this same pans for family for Christmas. It was shipped right to their addresses. One received it in a Hexclad box. Inside was this gray type bag which had the pan and the instructions. One received just the bag and the pan plus half the instructions. Yes I said that just the bag No box. Sent from California across the Country to Indiana. I am not sure if this was a return thats why there is no box. Or it was setting in their defective pan section. Oh but it gets even better. One family member received the pan in the gray bag. No Instructions No box nothing! Same thing was this a return or defective where is all the stuff that comes with this pan. You would think any company with putting so much into this pan saying its so great. Would actually take care of their product and make sure their customers are happy. I have contacted Walmart they said they would contact Hexclad and I should hear something in two days. I went a step farther. I Emailed Hexclad themselves. Same response, I would hear something in two days. Well two days has come and gone. I am beyond MAD. You spend that kind of Money for what is supposed to be a great product. Then you end up with 2 out of 3 pans that your not sure the history behind it. I didnt order used pans. I paid for New! But yet I am not sure what I got, or should I say my family members got for Christmas! I have lots of questions, but no one is giving me any answers!
Wow, Walmart is not even allowing me to upload a photo to prove that this product is bad. 5 days after using it, the interior starts sticking food and it is no more a non-stick. Please check other people reviews too before shelling out big money on this product. I promptly returned it to the store.
Purchased on sale on Walmarts deal days for a $42 discount. Upon opening, the item is definitely not new. It smells of rancid oil and there's what looks like maybe something small was burnt in the pan (see attached), and possibly has some scrape/scratches from id guess metal utensils! Did not even wash, season, or use it, so I can't speak to its function. The Walmart customer service was great, but they were not able to replace the pan due to the item being out of stock after the sale. Hoping they'll honor the sale price once the item is back in stock, as promised. After speaking to customer service, I ended up trying to wash the pan in hopes maybe it was some type of film from production but it definitely isn't going away and seems more like a burn mark.
The center part of the wok has non-uniform pattern and lacks the silver "hex" shape dots elsewhere has, fresh out of the box. I contacted Hexclad multiple times trying to get a replacement and they claimed it is normal and it " It appears there is some food grade oil remaining on your wok. We recommend washing it with Bar Keeper's Friend and an SOS steel wool pad as this should fix the issue. " " This is not a defect. We use food grade oil as a part of our polishing process. We recommend washing it with Bar Keeper's Friend and an SOS steel wool pad as this should fix the issue." This is an expensive wok and Hexclad asks customers to perform such special treatment to just clean its manufacturing residual? I followed their instruction and tried. But it didn't work. And I'm sick of contacting them everyday and waiting for the same response every next morning. I was very excited to get my dream wok but now I have no choices but returning it. They claim a lifetime warranty but be mindful whether you want to believe it.
