I have been using this Thermal Paste for years to use on out of the Box CPUs and to replace the terrible stuff on CPU from factory computers. It works awesome. For the factory computers it normal even helps reduce the amount of radiated heat from the chassis (important for laptop users) and helps the computer become stable if overheating was the issue.
Good stuff. I used this ArcticSilver5 Thermal Compound for installing an ignition control module on a '94 Chevy V8 and it works great.
This stuff works wonders. I have also used arctic lumina and in comparison arctic silver 5 keeps my cpu 7 degrees Celsius cooler. Definitely worth the investment!
car part was kept cool as advertised ignition module
Used to fix my PS3....worked well
I needed to reinstall the heatsink fan on the CPU in my laptop and needed a quality thermal paste for a reliable installation. This product fills the need. Comes in a neat little syringe and I needed a couple of dabs. All very standard stuff.
Needed to clean and replace my fan in my laptop and of course there was need for thermal compound .... this is very good compound to replace the old. Works as I expected it to and my laptop if running cooler and quieter.
I was battling between getting this, and getting a liquid metal thermal paste, and I was thinking, maybe the performance wouldn't be better on this, well, it worked out great! I also cleaned out my fans on my laptop when I purchase this and applied it, and with fresh clean fans and a brand new application of thermal paste I was getting on Max load 40° cooler I went from running 80-90°C to 40-50°C
This stuff worked great! Easy solution to the thermal event horror when I cleaned the dust out of my desktop computer. It looked like dust on top of the CPU, so I wiped it off, causing "thermal event" complete shutdown. A little Arctic Silver worked wonders. Who knew?
My PS4 Pro sounded like a jet engine whenever I did anything, and certain games would make it overheat and crash. Following the instructions in a video from a tech company, I dismantled it and applied this thermal paste, and my PS4 has been a million times quieter since and hasn't overheated.
