Pre drilled hole half the size these went in fine and is holding a shelf with around 40 pounds on it. Using two on the shelf. Learn how to use the product before leaving a bad review
No problem with item...very good
The other two reviews don't know what they're talking about. These aren't self tapping inserts. You drill a pilot hole with a 1/4 inch bit. Not only does this make sure the insert is centered where you want the screw to go, but it also identifies if there is a stud behind the sheetrock. The only time they'll twist off is if you put it into a stud, which you'll find out when you drill the pilot hole. If you find a stud, you know you don't need a nylon insert and simply screw into the wood.
pre drill a hole after marking the x points and then use the nylon anchor and drill it in then attach the cable or wall hanger and screw the screw into the anchor , it comfortably holds 50 lbs in 1/2 " drywall with 5 points of attachment/support
These plastic anchors work better than the tap ins. However, the plastic is cheaper than the name brand you can find at the hardware store. When I was drilling in the anchor, the plastic tip wore off, so I had to predrill an appropriate size hole before finishing the install. I never had this problem when using name brand anchors of this type.
These ripped a hole in my drywall after sinking in.
i don't like them. sticking with hardware store kind from now on
Trash or worse. This chinese crap is made from a brittle plastic. Undoubtedly, to avoid patent law, the design is faulty. The flare of the plastic anchor is nonexistent so when you screw the metal screw into the plastic it breaks up the plastic and goes through the drywall. Do not buy this brand.
Garbage, do not buy. The first two I tried twisted off half into the wall. I had others like this that came with the item I was attaching to the wall and they worked perfect. Cheap cheap trash
Didn't work at all, had to purchase more from our local hardware store.
