We bought this for our 3 year old as a transition from toddler to twin bed. It's perfect! No box spring needed, not too high off the ground but if you want it taller just add a box spring. Very sturdy. Very easy to put together! I did it myself in about 20 min, maybe less! Great quality for the price! Highly recommend it!
The slats were hard to install and we broke two slat end caps. The company did not have replacement hardware and told us that WalMart purchases the hardware overseas. WalMart offered to exchange the bed but since we put the bed together already we decided not to exchange it (bed was still functional with damaged end caps). The bed is beautiful, looks very sleek and modern and was a great price. Just be careful installing the slats!
My only issue is that their is a big gap between mattress and frame:( The mattress is a standard size so I don't know why it's like that. I just scooted the mattress all the way up so the gap is at the foot of bed and my son doesn't lose his pillow. When the bedding is on, it's not noticeable.
We were looking for an inexpensive bed for my 3 year old son who had outgrown his toddler bed. Based on the positive reviews, we ended up choosing this one. The bed is nice for the price, nothing extraordinary, but does the job. It is fairly low to the ground and has worked well as we transitioned our son into a big boy bed. I do think in a few years we will need to get my son something a little more substantial and sturdy but for now it is exactly what we need.
the bed is okay, but the wooden slants came bent and are very thin. the bed will easily break so get insurance on it and you're going to need to find more support for the bed.
When package was received- the box was half opened. Not sure if warehouse or shipping company was responsible. However- on top of that we were missing half of the parts. My son was so disappointed that he could not have his bed put together. The best part is that in order to get the parts you need to contact the manufacturer, not Walmart and wait another 4-6 weeks for missing parts. I don't know what the outcome will be once put together, but this process to get the bed together makes me wish I would not have purchased it. I think Walmart should be solely responsible for issues like this, no one should have to do research and additional work for missing parts that should have been delivered in the first place.
It looks good and overall design is what a bed like this supposed to be. But the problem is with the slates that are supposed to be the key support system for the mattress were too flimsy; they are made with thin and week strips of wood that bow-out and when the mattress is placed on them they kind of bend-in and out with the weight of the mattress and the person who sleeps on it. I am not if the designer thought it would give a spring-like action, but it provides zero support to your back even if have a high quality mattress. Once you opne the box and assemble this bed, its too much work to un-asssemble it and return it to the store. I ddecided instead to go to lowes and got a couple of plywood planks (0.65 '' thick, cut-to-correct dimensions) and placed them on top of the slates and screwed to support frame; that made it give pretty good support overall. But that cost me extra trip to lowes and cost extra expense to buy the board. If one is not aware of this type of handy-man tricks, etc. or don't have access or time to do all the extra work, I would not recommend this bed. A similar one in Ikea I saw the next day was close to $100 and it has stong slates that don't need extra work. Hope this is helpful to anyone looking into byuing this bed.
Bed is very poor quality. My son slept in it three days and it broke. The slats arrived warped and would not flatten. Save to buy better quality. Will be returning.
Very cheap quality
Got the frame for the bed but missing the hardware parts. Don't want to return it because we'll my kid needs to sleep I'm not waiting. So thanks for that Walmart. How can I request the hardware parts?
