Hillsdale Caspian Wood Twin Daybed with Trundle, Chocolate

Perfect for when my toddler granddaughters come over. What a cute little bed. It was relatively easy to put together and I bought a couple of 6 inch coil mattresses for about $90 a piece. In the picture you see I have a thick white rug. This does make it challenging when I am trying to slide it back in. But that's my own engineering choice.

Pretty easy to put together, and it looks really nice. If it were me I would have provided a cover for the open holes, but all in all we're pretty pleased with our purchase. We were able to use 8-inch foam mattresses on both the bed and the trundle and they are comfortable.

Bed is strong enough for large adults! Very well engineered! Read directions and look at pictures carefully. Took 2 of us 1 and a half hours to put together. Used battery drill for all the screws to fasten slats. I lightly sanded the slats so no splinters would snag mattresses but not a necessary task. We also wish the holes had plugs to cover them, that is our only "negative" (not worth taking away a star). We got an 8" foam mattress for top but will get a 6" for bottom as an 8' WILL NOT fit on bottom trundle at all. Very pleased!

Look when you buy this type of furniture you have to assemble. It isnt always easy but its cheap, it lasts and it looks good.go buy youre 1000 dollar furniture if you want. Im sticking to this

The bed was East to assemble with easy to follow instructions and hardware packaging. The only complaint I have is that it was missing one of the bolts needed

Of course, the comfort is based on the mattresses I'm using, but this bed frame is great. It was easy to assemble, and the volume of slats supporting the mattress makes it very solid. It looks very nice, just wish they offered it in Black. Particularly liked the dimensions on this bed. It is not quite as long as some others which is great for my smaller room. The total height profile is shorter, so it fits on my wall under the window sill which is exactly what I wanted. The depth is exactly right so there are no big gaps, but room to tuck in the linens. Only comment for improvement is to make the slats 3/8" longer so no risk of screws being too close to the edge of the frame so they pop through. Had one screw do that because I didn't place the slat exactly where I should.

First, we love the look of the bed which is why it's getting 2 stars instead of one. This bed is the most difficult piece of furniture I've ever put together. To connect two piece of the bed together, it uses a long headless threaded bolt that you tighten down with a nut, and it just plain doesn't work without additional materials. I had to put paper or cardboard in the slot before I could tighten it down or the threads would never grab. Hated the experience. Can't beat Walmarts price!

Just broke. The wood split. Purchased 2019
