This has become my husband's favorite snack, when paired with a slice of provolone cheese. I love it in my omelet, but it's good by itself. We haven't had any bad experiences with gristle or fat--thankfully. I used to just purchase deli meat from the counter, but this is a great close second.
I REALLY like this brand of Ham lunch meat! It's thin, but I like it thin. I bought some DELI lunch meat Ham (fresh sliced) I think it was Echrich, and I like this Better! Even though this Brand is Prepackaged. I love it for Sandwiches 🥪! A lower Salt version would be Even Better.
I LOVE WALMART! I used to order the wonderful pickup, but I don't drive anymore, so I'm very HAPPY that I can order delivery!!!! Everyone is so nice and polite…..-THANK YOU FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL SERVICE! Walmart is great! I've never had any problems !!!! smiles Linda
I switch off and on with this and great value black forest ham. You can't tell the difference. It's in the same kind of container. I love them both if they are out of one I buy the other. And I am not disappointed. Great for salads sandwiches or on crackers.
First few orders I received were good. Watch though bc if you have them delivered the delivery person may smash the container and damage the container. They did this to my last order and brother plastic the ham was in so I had to throw it away.
Great Value has the best food. This ham tastes great, and there is a bunch of it. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you buy this ham. It n fact I believe you’ll be delighted with your purchase.
First of all I have to say I love Hillshire brand meats. I actually worked there for 8 years and I love almost everything they make. I have to tell you that place is so clean you could probably eat off the floors. Cleanliness is one of their top priorities. I actually worked in the department that sliced up and packaged this product. It's like a super clean room There are 2 rooms one where they slice up the meat and put it in the package which travels into another room where it's put in the container then boxed. The slicing room looks like something from a science fiction movie. Everyone has to wash their rubber work boots then cover them with protective booties, they have to wear a freshly sanitized pair of white overalls that zip up to the neck, and wear plastic sleeves over their arms along with plastic gloves that are sanitized every 15 minutes and changed every hour. They also have to wear a hair net and a cloth hood that is tightly tied beneath the chin. Before entering the room they have to wash and sanitize their hands. All the equipment in the room is sanitized after every break. The packaging people follow the same sanitizing procedure they also wear sleeves, gloves and masks but just a hair net and a clean sanitized meat coat which look just like a white lab coat. They also have to wash and sanitize their rubber boots even though they don't come in contact with the meat. I like the flavor of Hillshire's meat and I think it's a high quality. Often times the price is very reasonable sometimes you pay a little extra which I don't mind because I'm getting a higher quality better tasting item. I always feel safe eating Hillshire Farm products.
In my opinion, this ham was the saltiest ham, I've ever tasted coming out of a package. Being someone who doesn't like to eat so much salt, I'm trying to use it up by eating a little at a time. I will NOT be ordering this brand again. I KNOW that I've eaten this before, and it's never been salty. For now, I think I will stick with the Wal-Mart brand and save some money in the meantime.
It was very good, but I cannot believe there wasn't much in the package. I know prices went up and product isn't as big as it used to be not by any fault of how it taste. It was very good. Added lettuce, and miracle whip, and bagel seasoning sourdough bread pretty darn good.
I know better. But I read it was cut thin, something W's deli seems to not comprehend. The voice said to give it a try. Rubbery. Wet. Thin, yes. But rubbery. So wet I had to dry each slice between paper towel sheets. Gross. Taste was ok. Most kids and dogs wouldn't care about the texture. I gave mine to the dog. I swear she smiled at me...
